It's weird how people assume that Marvel Infinte is going to get a big boost based on the MCU being peak at this point, when historically marvel and DC's movie successes have never translated well into other mediums,

Also DC's brand being damaged didn't seem to hurt Suicide Squad.

.

That's the way some people on GAF think. They believe that Suicide Squad and BvS were actually failures when they were both very successful. Injustice will outsell MvCi because it just looks better right now.

It's the fan bubble. Those people seem to think that Marvel's fans are zombies that they will buy everything and anything just because of a brand name. Nevermind that, historically, MvC series is one of the more demanding fighters on the market. I just can't see the average person taking time out to master one of those games. They're very chaotic and very twitchy.

This is predominantly a gaming forum and MvC is one of the most popular fighting gaming franchises ever. That's the only reason Injustice is the underdog. The first Injustice had a decent fighting game community but it never got huge and it didn't last.

Injustice did alright in the fighting game community. It carries most of the same support of the MK/NRS games, which just aren't as popular in the FGC as the Capcom fighters. MvC did build a lot of its own separate community from Street Fighter though.

The FGC will favor MvC, and Injustice will sell more. The masses dig NRS games.

Just checked footage of Infinite... The fuck? That's supposed to come out in September? Looks far from finished.

Injustice 2 is gonna sell a crazy amount. It's also coming out in May while Marvel's coming out in Destiny 2 month. NRS games now have a reputation for having the best story modes in fighting games and that goes a long way for casual consumers.

Always been a MvC guy since Children of the Atom, but I will say between the two the new Injustice is looking better than MvC Infinite...but if I bought one, it'd be MvC Infinite.

I have never, ever, EVER, been invested in a games story. However I have loved DC stories, from the animated to cinematic universe, and am just too lazy to read the comics. You think I would enjoy the story in I2? I'll buy the game just for the story if it's that good

Where the hell did the 'Gal Gadot doing reshoots while her water broke' rumour come from? I didn't even know about this until I saw it in the OT thread.

I heard about the 'stuntman says the movie's shit' because it was on the dceuleaks subreddit months ago, but then again there was another thread from another stuntman contesting that point (the one saying Patty was a perfectionist) so giving more credence to the former is whack.

Anyways.

I'm still so excited laksndlskncss. Hopefully these two tv spots are the start of a major marketing push from here onwards though. I thought the announcement of WonderWednesdays would have been the kickstarter but they've been shitty so far.

I think you would. The regular pre-fight exchanges are pretty good too, adds a little context to each battle.

I think they were just being hyperbolic in regards to the story coming out that Gal did re-shoots while she was pregnant.

Oh I was just kidding about that. I didn't know people would take it seriously lol

Injustice storyline is pretty good. I mean it has bits and pieces of stuff you've seen elsewhere but it comes together well. The best part is and I'm sure the new game will do the same is that the story mode basically serves as a training mode because you get to control every fighter at one point so you can figure out who you like and try out their moves and stuff.

Going back to MvC for a bit, I'm a huge fan of Capcom fighters and I know they promised that Infinite will have a rich story mode but it's all lip service and bullshit. They don't know how to create one nor do they really care to.

So hyped. Only good DCEU movie this year!

Lmao I thought u would know since you were a regular in here! The stuntman rumor was true though. Was literally posted like 10 posts before you asked

Nah. Honestly, I've been skipping and reading post with media/content. We've been waiting for days. That and most post are just complaining about a thread asking what we've been asking in here..it's a bit weird.

The tone of that thread is a lot different than the questions we ask in here though. It's not the questions, it's more the doom and gloom responses that get to me.

Welp, as I've suggested a bunch of times, I ignore that stuff. Plenty of folks who don't come in this thread (or I've never seen in here myself) were genuinely curious about the relative silence, like we've been. I mean, I asked what's his face a serious question and it was taken as a troll..it's pretty frustrating.

Anyway, whatever..thanks for clearing it up. Might just tune out until June.

BvS is only a failure when you consider the fact the movie should've waltzed into the billion dollar club. It still printed money though. I expect Justice League to do about the same, honestly.

I've always really wanted a Marvel v. DC fighting game. I know it'd never happen, but God, that'd be a ton of fun.

They were not very successful at being good movies, that's why they're considered failures by some people.

No..many people literally think they were box office failures. I just saw a post where some guy thinks BvS barely made a profit. Like, how easily influenced by the media do you have to be to honestly believe that?
