Vanity Fair debuts four The Last Jedi covers

They keep trying to make Phasma a thing. I want her to get a spotlight but I just don't believe it will happen in any positive manner.
I think they know they fucked up in the first movie by taking her offscreen in such a comedic fashion.

Hopefully they'll let her redeem herself and not become another Boba Fett, awesome looking character that people got hyped for and then just turned into a jobber.

Ah that time honored tradition since the prequels.

I always buy the Vanity Fair Star Wars issues with Annie photos. Love them.

So Leia was meant to survive this film. Seems like Luke dying in Episode 8 -- at the very least, this one or episode 9 -- is a strong possibility.

Yeah, they were talking about this back in December/January, I believe. The Episode 9 team had to go back to square one, as they put it.

I don't know why that automatically puts Luke's death more in play than it was already, though. It was highly likely he was going to die in this movie anyway. This or the next.

None of the big three (Han, Luke, Leia) were likely to make it out of the Sequel Trilogy alive.

Why is it as soon as Han is out of the picture people always steal his clothes?! First Lando at the end of Empire and now Poe has his jacket.

Who is that next to boyega, she looks so out of place and bad. Like she is in some sitcom or lady from Interview movie.

aside from that alright looking. han solo jacket for finn?

also didnt Captain Trash died last movie?

How'd you get that..? She's literally just standing next to them with a slight smile

Reminder:

This is a 100% Rian Johnson movie. Written and Directed.

Everyone who has read Johnson's script has noted that it fucked with them, and it will do very weird things to Star Wars.

Guy wrote and directed Brick, Brothers Bloom, and Looper, and also directed the two best episodes of Breaking Bad.

Also, John Williams has been scoring this movie since December.

Is there a link to JW scoring the movie itself since December? I thought he may have been scoring the trailer, or part of it, during that time.

If he's got essentially a fucking YEAR to work on the score, I'm expecting big things. Big things

I know he's been scoring lately, but I didn't know he'd been doing work for the film itself since last year!

Wait, is this just for the photoshoot or did both Phasma and Ren lose their cool helmets?

Well we see both of their helmets in the teaser (though to be fair Ren's helmet is kind of smushed).

Also Poe is hot stuff.

That's good down there

I dont know if I like all that, but I guess SW cant continue if it plays it too safe so........I have this expectation of Luke, and I can tell its not going to live up to it. Mark told me as much.

I really wish they put a helmet back on Ren. He doesn't look remotely intimidating.

I don't think he needs a helmet to be intimidating. Actions are more intimidating. Maybe he isn't meant to be some bigly intimidating villain. A villain can be great without being scary per se and Driver is a great performer.

I honestly like the sort of Dracula vibe he has going, kinda dark elegance.

Would probably prioritize getting the Leia cover if I were buying one, but after that the one with Kylo. He's one of the best things about the latest films. And certainly intimidating enough knowing what he can do (when not already shot half to death by Chewie). Maybe if it is on the shelf next visit to B&N.

I thought Cpt. Phasma died?

It's never actually shown on screen. The trash compactor thing was them joking around I'm sure. Though it does seem strange that she'd be subdued, presumably stuffed away somewhere, then be able to escape and find a way off Starkiller before it exploded.
