Yup, and I just ordered a EVGA 1080ti Hybrid Cooled card. If anyone wants to buy my 1080 Founders edition send me a PM!

this should last for a while, right? no reason to think it wont be around till launch? I wont be able to buy a 1080ti until much closer to release.

I want to get a 1080 Ti, but I'll prolly just wait for the next-gen cards. My 980 Ti is still treating me well.

For me, the 980 Ti reminds me of the original Radeon 9700 Pro. It's one of those cards that just seem to be able to continually perform well and will do for some time.

If I buy a card off Newegg's eBay store do I still qualify for the free game if they're giving it away with the card on their website? It's much cheaper on eBay for some reason.

You're basically sitting on a 1070 with better overclocking performance. No real reason to upgrade unless you're going 4k or 144hz Ultra.

Just bought mine less than 2 weeks ago.

Damn, just upgraded to a 1060 a month ago. Well, this seems like base game anyways and I was going to get the season pass bundle so it's whatever. I'll survive purchasing a video game at full price.

Yeah, if the recent promos are anything to go by, you will need a qualifying card (in this case, specifically a 1080 or a 1080Ti) in order to redeem any resold codes.

I placed my order for the ASUS STRIX 1080 Ti last week...
Noticed this thread a few minutes ago and decided to call them.

The representative was able to get me a code without any issues.
Thank you, OP.

Proof.

This is why I keep telling people to email them.

They usually just give the codes.

FYI: If you buy a videocard off Newegg's eBay store they told me you don't qualify for the free game.

If I buy off eBay the card is $50 cheaper (without the game). Hmm...

I'm not sure if this is a deal that other third-party retailers are offering, or not.
NewEgg special offers aren't always reflected by other online retailers/manufacturers.

My guess would be probably Amazon to see if they are willing to match special offers.

Purchased a 1080 from Newegg last week and they would NOT send me a code because I purchased the card during a 1-day sale and the current price is $40 more. So nothing is guaranteed. I took a flyer and contacted nvidia directly and of course they too shot me down.

I bought my 1080Ti from B&H right at two weeks ago and they have already said they'll process the code and send it my way in 2-3 days. Was almost too easy, so I'm still skeptical, lol.

Hmm...

So according to Newegg it's available here in Canadia.

I could get an EVGA 1080 for about $800, then sell my 1070 for $500 (according to listings I'm seeing online) and spend just $300 for a pretty nice upgrade + Destiny 2 which I plan to play the hell out of.

Considering a new game in Canada is about $90 after taxes, I'm basically paying $210 for the card upgrade.

This will require a bit of work, but I feel the 1080 would be needed to help me push 144hz for Destiny 2 anyway. Think I'm going to pull the trigger.

Well, if the game codes are going to be available on eBay for $20, I might as well just order a card from Newegg off eBay for $650, than paying $690+ for it with the game on their website.

Nobody is going to sell a Destiny 2 game code for anything less than $50.

I bought a 1080ti on the 8th, and customer service in chat wants me to send the unopened card back so I can order it again and get the offer. LOL, really? What did you all say to people on the phone and in email to just get the code?
