..And it's glorious.
Except when taking the tube. Then it's like a sodding oven. Had to rush to get my train at victoria was hot and sweaty thought I was going to faint. Took some water.

Having a nice cool shower when I get home.

How is london GAF coping with this warm weather ?

I am off tomorrow so going to relax at home in Dartford (it's in the M25 area so it should count as greater london lol)

As per usual it's the humidity that does me in not the heat.

I went to see a movie hoping it'd be cooler and that was a mistake. Now I'm just sitting in front of my fan with all my clothes off.

In my boxers with the window open and a fan on. Still boiling, I'm just not used to this kind of heat. Can't see how I'll manage to fall asleep.

It's fucking awful. My poor dog is really struggling. Fine indoors cos we have the aircon. But who wants to be indoors when it's like this??

I'm in Berkshire so sod it I'll throw in my experience. Both windows open, got a waist high fan turning. Not sure how the hell I'm gonna get to sleep tonight.

This is one thing I always miss about the states. The movie theaters there are always cold as fuck with air conditioning on full. It's like an American tradition that theaters are meant to be respites from heat.

Pretty much only Picture House Central always seems to be nice and cool. I used to make this mistake too.

I fucking hate it. It's too hot. I used to have a large airconditioner that I returned to Amazon, that I never even got a refund for since I didnt follow up, but that was a long time ago, wish I had kept it now. Too big to keep for like a week or two out the whole year.

Not enough places are air conditioned here.

I'm carrying a backpack for work with all my pack lunch and dinner in it (do 12 hour shifts) but it's got a foam pad on the back for support. My back is drenched.

Last few nights At home windows are open and just sleeping in boxers and above the covers.

Just got back from a weekend away. House has been shut up with closed windows. It's 28°C in my bedroom.
(That's 82°F for any americans being nosey)

For anyone in hotter climates you have to understand the uk has heat but more sohumidity that and the fact a lot of places don't do aircon mean it can really suck

The tube is baking all day and there really isn't any fresh air down there.

Am lucky to have aircon at my office when it is on.
One colleague always complains they are too cold and it's switched off but they are the only one that complains but we must all suffer.

I'm on the home stretch of a grueling business/leisure trip (Helsinki-NY-SF/Palo Alto-Seattle-London-Helsinki in 12 days!) and have a day and a half in London to wind down before going home, so it's pretty cool to have nice weather now. Never before in my trips to London has there been good weather.

Could do with about 10 degrees less though, I doubt I'll be taking the tube in this weather.

Any better ideas for some Monday mid-day beer sipping than roving around Camden or walking down by Thames?

I'm sweating like a rapist.
Lol such a British thing to say.

In teddington here. Hit 32 degrees. But in the eves of a Edwardian house so it got hotter. Got a portable air-con a few years back in that insane summer but can't get it below 24 in here.

Roll on winter.

Understand homes not having AC.. but movie theaters? That's just wrong. They need to be cold AF. It's like 32 celsuis and have to bring a hoodie when I go to the movies here. It's amazing

It's hot/sunny across a lot of the UK, not just London, to be fair.

I'm a miserable git - I just don't like the heat. Love the sunshine, love the bright evenings, love the sunsets... but I just do not like the stifling, stuffy heat. I like walking and this weather makes it horribly sticky and exhausting. I can't wait for temperatures to dip again. But in my defence you'll never hear me complain about rainy weather.

I've spent the weekend packing my house, and am moving on Tuesday. Whilst also working on the K&C fire response thing for another Borough. this has NOT been fun - it;s so hot even my cats are passing out after lying in the sun for a bit!

Gloucestershire here, flat is like an oven windows and blinds wide open, fan blaring and starkers and the mrs is near enough, think we might have melted to a puddle by the morning

I can handle the heat, but my hay fever is driving me absolutely insane. It's always worst for me during the first hot spell of the season, and this is the hottest start we've had for years - hell it's not even summer yet!

I got in a car earlier, and by the time the air got going I'd already sweated off 3st in weight.

Its was like 30°c here today with no breeze. Its not a nice heat though. Ways muggy.

30°c on the spanish coast = bliss
30°c here = im fucking dying.

At some point you lot need to install some aircon. Will 30 years of summer suffering be worth the 100 pounds for a window unit. Only going to get worse with global temperatures consistently rising.

Lovely sunny weather. The weather is such a dull sack of shit all year round normally, I'll take this. Feels like forever we had a proper long, hot, sunny summer. Bring it on.

I agree . It may be hotter elsewhere but it's the flipping humidity and the fact most British homes are designed to keep in the heat.

But for that split second in the morning where it is fresh and warm and sunny it's so amazing. But I need to get to the coast soon ramsgate or broadstairs I think
