I was super skeptical at first dye to the involvement of the Game Grumps but from everything I've seen it seems to be handled very well and respectfully and while there are lots of dad jokes in the game, the game itself isn't a joke.

Weird because the Steam page was saying it would unlock in an hour over an hour ago but oh well :p.

I'm hoping that this game explores the ramifications of being a gay single father in a society that ostracizes single parents and a gay community that ostracizes wanting children.

Instead, I'm probably going to get the Gamegrumps making a bunch of awkward Dad jokes over the span of two hours.

Oh well, I'm sure the fan art will be awesome. Bad dad for life.

You should play Coming Out on Top got some really hot hottie's in it some total dad material too (not actual dads but...) And you can turn facial and body hair on and off and condoms as well. Its coming to steam this Fall it got greenlit earlier this year.

I don't think they're allowed to put anything really explicit on Steam so the sex scenes will at the very least have to be censored but I believe they do intend to provide some sort of pack you can download elsewhere to uncensor the game? Not entirely sure.

EDIT: This is from the description on the Greenlight page:
New content to accompany a Steam release will be bonus in-game illustrations. The Steam version will be censored in a way similar to Steam's other erotic games.

Getting censored but the devs are looking for a work around for this. There are going to be some new CGs for the game so those are probably going to be slightly less explicit and put in the space of some of the more explicit ones?

I'm pretty excited to play (and review!) this when it unlocks. I'll be honest, I haven't looked into the game much but when I heard the concept behind it I was sold already :p

It says it's unlocking in seven hours now which means tomorrow for me. I appreciate that they're trying to make sure it's all polished and working before putting it up but I can't help but feel kind of annoyed with this having been so short-notice. Oh well, at least that means I'll get to read some first impressions in the morning before buying it so I can make a more informed decision.

I'll definitely need to hear some impressions from you guys before I jump in. I do want to join in on the fun, though.

Bad Dad speaks to my masochism.

Fit Dad is just heaven.

Minister Dad looks like a douche... see Bad Dad, haha.

Rival Dad is cute, and I love the belly.

Teacher Dad's style and color coordination is on point. Plus, that sweet mustache.

Anyway, after you guys get some time in, let me know if the game is: steamy, competently written, not a joke, and cute.

Honestly, I think they can get away with releasing it uncensored. If House Party can be uncensored on Steam, I don't see why this game wouldn't be able to.

Have to go with Bad Dad or Rival Dad. Teacher Dad has a nice mustache, but he'd probably scoff at my favorite movie choices. Also,"wine + cheese pairings" = zzzzzzz.

Where did you see this? He's me main focus so it'd be weird and sad if he was advertised as heavily as he is among the other options if he's no available.

I think all of the featured dads are dateable, unless you have some information we haven't seen. 0_0

Unless you mean Brian from GG and not the Brian in this game.

Maybe an automated moderation thing because the word 'gay' was in the thread title? Or a moderator who didn't know anything about the game and didn't read the body of your thread figuring you were trolling or something? I'm not sure how steam moderation works.

I'm terribly sorry if I've caused confusion, but I was told by someone with review code that Brian serves as the host of the tutorial and the most prominent NPC but -cannot- be pursued. I pray my pal was just an idiot and couldn't figure out how.

I guess this is gonna sound rude but does it matter the sexuality of the people playing the game? I don't think you deserved the warning but the thread title seems a little misguided, and considering the Steam community it probably wouldn't have gotten any good responses.
