One Piece is set in a world where people have some resemblance of modern tech and clothing. Some pirates are literary just wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. How you gonna make that not look goofy?
I thought there totally was a Japan island. That one Ryuuma dude that Zoro fought on Thriller Bark was from there. He was also the main character of Oda's one shot iirc.On the list of things that I'd never be able to predict happening, this is certainly on it. What the helllllllllll??
The fuck?
If anything One Piece is one of the few properties that can take total racial liberties with the characters. Anything goes, there is no "Asia" in One Piece.
Must watch for the eventual goddess Pudding.

Spend that money on a retelling animated by Madhouse and relaunch the show from the beginning (with the dub being handled by Funi) in the west instead.
LOL WHAT THE FUCK????
Goda, how could you let this happen?

D: Nice to meet you, Oda-sensei. I have a question. If One Piece was set in the real world, which countries would the nine Straw Hats come from? Pen Name: MICHAEL JACKSONS' BROTHER
O: Well. I'll just put what fits with the character's image.
Luffy: Brazil
Zoro: Japan
Nami: Sweden
Usopp: Africa
Sanji: France
Chopper: Canada
Robin: Russia
Franky: USA
Brook: Austria
Are the characters even Asian in the anime?
Watch the western show become a big hit while the anime was pulled from north american tv twice for not doing well enough :V
HXH isn't worth investing in as much as OP.Spend that money on a HxH 2011 like retelling animated by Madhouse and relaunch the show from the beginning (with the dub being handled by Funi) in the west instead.

Should have figured the guy with the ring around his lips was black
Oh Japan
Oh, then it's still not.they were saying to animate OP like the madhouse HXH. higher production values, no filler, etc.

Toonami dropped the series because Toei raised the licensing fees for broadcasting it. A live-action adaptation of One Piece has about as much of a chance of being a hit as Inhumass.Hey if it's a hit I can see Toonami try to capitalize.
NOOOOOOOO
Monica Bellucci.Whaaaaaat the FUCK.
They better cast Nico Robin right. I swear to GOD.

She doesn't have the southern accent in the Funi dub.Who's an actress with a good southern drawl?
Wait for TGS, for some announcement trailer.I would love to get more info on Dawn instead

Man, if y'all thought Inhumans looked bad...
1. How the hell do they plan to do this
2. You're never getting live action HxH, no network would air Hisoka.
