Harley and Gwenpool team-up would be perfect heh.

Not exactly sure who would be a great team up with Stephanie Brown. Kate Bishop or Kamala Khan maybe?

Ho lee shit this most recent Thunderbolts book is horrid. The post Standoff series with Bucky. I thought I'd read through it, but yikes. The art, the writing, everything. Why did they publish this shit?

I think the Defenders might count as that, but for a complete list i need to think on that.

I was looking for a team that started together. I'm trying to do some research. I have a comic I'm writing and all of them started together, but I'm trying to figure out how likely it would be for all of them to stick through. It's different with the case of Defenders. All of them had started on their own and already shown dedication to what they do.

I guess it's Batman's team in Detective is what you might be looking for then. The first issue is about them putting together the team.

People wanted a new T-Bolts book and well...that happened.

This was supposed to keep going for Secret Empire but sales tanked.

I don't like how writers basically just tried to turn the Thunderbolts into the Suicide Squad.

The plan was for it to go on hiatus during Secret Empire and come back aftertwards, but now whether or not there should be a Thunderbolts book is apparently up in the air.

The T-Books were always bad but Ellis's run is the only good one.

Parker and Busiek too, if you think those suck, get out.

The fact Zub is wanting fans to help him spread the work means we aren't seeing anothr series for awhile.

They were never the Marvel Suicide Squad but why write them like that? UGH.

Hey not bad, even if it $80 for a 1/10 figure.

To be fair to those writers the Suicide Squad concept is more sustainable.

Squirrel Girl/each of the Gotham City Sirens

Fuck i'd read the hell out of a Kate/Steph book, even though it's not a pairing that makes a lot of sense

No one's gonna pay $80 for a 1/10. It'll be $60 or so from other shops. Kotobukiya's online shop charges the high-end list price. I got the 1/6 movie Wonder Woman in the mail yesterday. Cost about $110 from Hobbysearch.

Heh yeah. Maybe if I get another discount for artfx+ figures from Barnes and Nobles after she comes out, I might consider then. I actually like the pose with the shield on her back also, and her face seems pretty good. The spear she is holding looks a bit plain through.XD

  1. It's a spear
  2. There's only so much detail you can sculpt at 1/10

I get that, and it is not a big deal anyway, but it does stick out a little.XD

It'll turn out fine, Kotobukiya does really good work. The 1/6 Wonder Woman they just released came out really well. They have a knack for their final pieces coming out looking just like the prototype.

Most movie fans don't read the comics though

I'm glad that they don't really go out of their way and disrupt stories to make it easy for them, honestly. They never show up.
No but they should just make the comics just like the MCU. That would be better somehow.
Hibbs probably has the right of it.
I agree totally. Granted, you can still write an interesting story or two, but they're getting rarer and rarer and eventually aren't going to last.
#10 doesn't have any co-writers. imo Waid's problem with the current Avengers book is that the lineup is made up of characters he doesn't have a good feel for. I liked his Kooky Quartet story.
Agreed. And now consider all the massive status quo changes and that book is about to get hit hard.

It was bad. Here's my problem: it doesn't mesh. They're these villains that are on the run, but for a conceivably dumb reason: Kobik picked them, and only because Bucky was nice and the rest were....there? On top of that, the book is clearly going for a 90's feel with the character designs and bright colors and over the top action, but the action isn't interesting and Bucky doesn't work within the team as a design. You have characters like Atlas and Moonstone, who are technicolor dreamcoats, and then Bucky who's just wearing all black with a metal arm and a couple of pistols. Nothing about the book stands out at all. It was basically a random side story used to sideline characters until their relevant storyline (Zemo rebuilding the Masters of Evil and Cap getting ahold of the Cosmic Cube again) tied back in with the Secret Empire build up. I read three issues, and the only reason I stuck around for the third is because the Inhumans were going to be in it, presumably beating the shit out of Bucky's squad.

Fantastic Four and X-Men.
Batman's team isn't just his sidekicks: Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, Batwoman?

No Nightwing or Batgirl. Batwoman has also never been his sidekick.

Just caught up on Dark Days The Casting and imagining Hawkwoman instead Hawkman as the main character in the Hawk related sections dramatically increased my enjoyment and interest in the comic.

New52 Thanagar has been a travesty so I guess I understand why the reincarnating Hawks are being brought back... but I still prefer the former origin.

...

It's been eons since we've gotten a Wonder Woman related dc wide event. Does Amazons Attack even count as an event?

No Nightwing or Batgirl. Batwoman has also never been his sidekick.

Based on the rumors Waid only has one or two arcs left on his run anyways.

Who do you pick?
Obvs choice is Harley Gwenpool

But Cass Cain and Laura Kinney would be great too.

Runner up: Kate Spencer and Jessica Jones

Or Scandal Savage and Laura Kinney. But yes.

I would say:

Black Canary and Quake
Mera and Medusa
Batwoman and Elektra
Starfire and Ms. America Chavez
Big Barda and Gamora
Based on the rumors Waid only has one or two arcs left on his run anyways.

To be expected. At the end of the day, his Avengers run is going to be known as one of the most "this run happened" of all time.

Isn't that hardcover? That looks like the one. Either way, how does the paper feel?
Also, did you take this photo? Tell me more about that CD collection in the back.

No there is an Absolute edition, a hardcover edition and a softcover edition.
It feels good but I don't really have anything to compare it too.

And no I didn't take the photo.

Holla,

Thanks for the new thread Messi and Freeza. Looks like theres some good stuff to look forward to this month with Metal, Mister Miracle and more Doom Patrol and Secret Weapons.

Life and work have been kicking my ass at the moment, but managed to catch up on a few bits, caught up on the second volume of Harbinger which is still good and because I was at a little comic con with the guy who draws it been trying the Rick and Morty comic (which it turns out isnt that good)
