what if the portals are your way out of a complex SETI simulation that you've been plugged into, against your will, and when you go through one you emerge in the "real world" with previously unknown parkour assassin skills, and you have to escape from the lab with a surly and yet cute lab assistant while wearing a stylish backpack and trying to figure out WTF is going on and how did you just killed that guard with a punch to the neck without breaking stride

People found it by looking at the SEO cache of a password protected page on Nomanssky.com by user Deluxer on the NMS discord. I've never seen him troll before, so I believe it's legit.

I just refuse to believe co-op exploration is a thing. If it is, you must be limited to a surface via the portals if anything. No way you can fly off and jump to a new system together.

Awesome idea, there is definitely franchise material in that, probably like a game a year.

Without knowing much about the game, I understand your point...

But I'm still sad they aren't in the game. That's one of the things that had me super interested in the original trailers. I want big ominous "boss" creatures roaming around. Fingers crossed!

Assuming this is true, it definitely would be a significant update. Would change the game quite a bit, especially if the Universe is reset.

Was debating whether I will start a new Survival game. Definitely will if the leaked stuff is accurate.

TERRAIN EDITING!!!??? That's the one that catches my eye. Is that part real? But other stuff seems real.

This happened last time and I thought it was fake then, but it wasn't. I don't think I should believe it this time. I'm just going to sleep I think...?

I may be completely satisfied with NMS after these changes. Hope they add a FoV option aswell, seems they've been listening to feedback.

Not gonna let myself believe that they're adding multiplayer though. Could be some new way of sharing cool discoveries or something... urgh, got to buy the PC version if they're adding coop, none of my friends own it on PS4.

Hmmm, since they're adding a new terrain system and a new storyline, I wonder if they'll make a second campaign option or something. So people don't lose their bases and whatnot.

Are you happy with the Foundation/Pathfinder update's additions? If so, yes. If not, wait until the 1.3 page goes live and see if that's enough to keep you interested.

I think it's a fantastic space exploration/survival game as is.

Honestly, I had it on PS4 since launch and I kept trying to play but couldn't, I felt like there was no point after a few hours. Bought PC version during summer sale and gave it a fresh start since the first two updates, and actually have been enjoying it. This update is about to make it infinitely better if all the data mined stuff is real.

All these people aren't going to sleep anyway. And some dude in the other thread has his phat dabs ready for joint exploration. Just put it out now.

If the datamining reports are legit, that update FAR exceeds my expectations. Like, I refuse to believe it true just to avoid any possible disappointment, but holy shit.

I'm really apprehensive this is way TOO good. If this is real this update must have been baking since before the game launched honestly.

This hype train has turned into a hype rocket with warp reactor Omega bb.

Steam DB hasnt detected any new uploads yet so there are logistics behind this.

Same, first the memo and teaser screens had me like ok, this might be legit. Then the page leak had me like no way, impossible. Then the data mined info just made it even more crazy. Like, how could this be possible.

If this leak is accurate it sounds pretty great. I feel like this what HG would have liked for the game to be like at launch. Left to their own devices it would probably be launching right about now. I wonder how it would have been received

I hope PC performance is massively improved. Right now am running with dual titan x cards and at 4k I can go from 60 to 30 a lot.

If the update details are true, y'all trying to keep your save games should just shelf them for now and start anew. I know its rough, but, if so, those changes are just too massive.
