Morrison's run is the best, but if you're down for some older stuff then the Silver Age series is also good. I haven't really read past those, so I can't really speak on Arcudi's issues. I did pick up Rachel Pollack's run but I haven't read it yet.

The YA series draws most heavily from the Morrison run though. It's definitely the one to read if you want to see more of the history. It introduces Danny, Crazy Jane, Flex, and concepts like Rebis. Terry None herself seems somewhat related to Mr. Nobody, who is a villain from the series.

I wasnt even a that big fan of Annihilation, I didnt liked the Main Event but very enjoyed the Tie-Ins.
Havent continued with the Space Event after that and havent the DnA Book. I really need to see whats going on with Ultron but it somehow slips under the backlog.

Humphries is one of the many writers who has said Legion would be a dream book, so I could see him jumping from GLs to Legion if it was offered. His Bugs Bunny/Legion one shot seemed like it went over really well, so I could see the strength of that book working in his favor to the regular LoSH title.

I think Disney/Marvel is missing a trick not having a Power Pack animated show for younger kids. I think it would do really well. I personally can't stand them, but I think some crazy bank could be made there. Are they owned by a different company?

There's a bunch of animated shows right know that are just stellar, and the fact that all of Marvel's have been bland (at best) is a real shame.

Soooooooo, I bought and read the trade of Miller's All Star Batman and Robin.

Wow.

Okay, firstly, I liked it more than most it seems, but in fairness I was not going into it thinking "OMFG the writer of DKR with Jim Lee doing a Batman book that is a sequel to Year One, holy fucking shit!!!" I had heard how awful it was, so I went in thinking it was going to be garbage.

First lets get the easy part out of the way. Lee's art. Lee is an amazing artist. His Xmen will be with me forever. That being said, I have already seen his Batman during Hush, and this doesn't look different in any way whatsoever. I have already seen his take on all this. Verdict - Awesome Lee art is awesome Lee art, but it was certainly not worth the delays in this case. His art also does not fit the tone of this book in any way shape or form.

Okay. Now to the controversial stuff. First a disclaimer, I have only read through it once so far, and there may be layers or stuff that I didn't pick up on. Also I want to say that while I am familiar with the idea that the internet HATED this, but I didn't know why other than "the goddamn batman".

I kinda liked it? I mean, its fucking balls out crazy for certain. But I think I can buy that early in his career before he found his balance he was kind of insane and overwhelmed by the adrenaline of actually doing what he does. And yes, he is batshit fucking insane. I think its an interesting point, as I can not think of any reason why a sane person would put a 14 year old in the kind of danger that Robin is exposed to. So if you look at it like Miller started with the idea of "what kind of person would expose a 14 year old to this" and then worked outward, this is the kind of story you would get.

Like, Batman saving BC and then fucking her, right there at the scene, is fucking crazy, and not something you would ever see from Batman, but in the context of THIS Batman story, it worked for me.

Its like... the recklessness of Batman from Earth One vol 2, just turned up to 11. Or 1100. Or whatever.

I wish I could express my feelings on all this better but a. I don't have the book in front of me for reference, and b. I'm pretty bad at writing critiques, or writing anything in general, I'm much better speaking than writing.

I detest that the story feels completely unfinished.

looks like my comic book store turned my Dark Days subscription into a Metal subscription. I won't complain and see myself lucky, because after the price drop and the good reviews I kinda want to read it.

It's likely going for way more than I can afford now. But I love it. She started it at 200 I could right now pay up to 600 but the Twitter response leads me to believe it's gotten expensive

BLACK LIGHTNING: COLD DEAD HANDS is written by Isabella and drawn by Clayton Henry (Harbinger). However, don't expect a throwback to Isabella's previous time with the character. While the hallmarks of a good Black Lightning comic are all there, Jefferson's gone through some changes. He's still a teacher who works to be a positive force for his students both in and out of costume, but he's younger than he's ever been before—around 28 years old. He's also not married and in a departure from the show, he doesn't have daughters.

Jefferson does, however, still have a very big problem by the name of Tobias Whale. But Black Lightning's notorious adversary has gone through some redesigning as well. He's now fit, built like an athlete, and he's no longer an albino. But don't think it's made Tobias Whale any smaller of a problem for Jefferson or the city of Cleveland, in which the series is based. He's as ruthless and powerful as ever.

I can't find it, but I found a bunch of stuff my ex drew about us after I got her to read TSSTG (she wasn't much of a comics person). The feels!

Without getting into stuff that would even spoil stuff that hasn't been revealed in the book yet, that stuff is setting up something a lot bigger that will come to a head soon.
