Being in the WWE would be the worst of the two but he can still put amazing stuff with some of the guys there.

I mean, he can put amazing stuff with anyone so it's fine.

If Bryan does wrestle again I don't think New Japan is the greatest idea when they are taking dragon suplexes off the top rope, giving unprotected headbutts, Kenny Omega offense which includes knees to the head.

I wonder if WWE offered him a Brock Lesnar type deal would he accept it?

Why would he when they've kept him from wrestling?

Besides, Tana isn't killing his brain for njpw and he's doing just fine.

As shitty as that Bryan story is, how fucking good is the E&C pod of awesome? It's always hilarious, but because the boys and girls like talking to them, they seem to be a huge source of information on their interviews too.

I think I might actually like Daydream by Mariah Carey.

In an interview with the Off the Board podcast, Roman Reigns spoke about how he deals with wrestlers who have heat backstage, like Enzo Amore.

On dealing with wrestlers with heat:

"I swing the sword. If I put the sentence down then I lay it down,” Reigns said (h/t to Cageside Seats for the transcription). “If you have heat, that’s what a locker room leader does, he speaks up for the rest of the bunch. It’s tough when you have so many cooks in the kitchen — I’m not the only guy who would speak up. But as the man that I am before I was in this business I would have spoken up if something was wrong, to what I am today within our industry. I am a locker room leader. I’d like to think I’ve been afforded the keys to the car and I drive that thing around every once in a while. But I’m going to take care of it.

Dude is so bad with words, look at that paragraph, he basically said nothing.

They know he will be in demand if he leaves. Plus the Brock type deal would keep him from wrestling every week and every house show.

Plus Tana is working with a torn bicep which is not technically fine.

WWE has enough guys under contract that Bryan has talked about wanting to wrestle (AJ and Nakamura are two big examples) that he would be happy staying there from a talent perspective. That combined with the money difference (which isn't as big for Bryan as others, but it still matters) would most likely be enough to keep him if WWE wanted him.

Wasn't it a big thing that he was wrestling with a torn tricep the entire G1.

Bicep. But we're talking about the nature of the matches being dangerous. Anybody can bork their bicep and he's choosing to wrestle, nobody's making him.

Tana choosing to wrestle with an injured bicep is an entirely different dynamic than taking a dragon suplex off the top rope. Tana doesn't approach those kinds of spots. He's still a top guy and puts on amazing matches. No reason DB can't do it.

Besides, if WWE wants him, what's stopping them?

I think he handled it fine or at least made his point get across. And the guy seems to be very respected as a leader in the locker room.

In a WWE where a lot of the wrestlers were fans who turned to it, Enzo bragging to someone on the phone about it and the money he's making probably would rub plenty of people there the wrong way. Especially if on a bus during a European tour where people are gonna be cranky.

I'm probably late but

God bless Bryan Danielson

Around the 1 hour 50 minute mark Daniel Bryan, Edge and Christian talk about how underutilized Luke Harper is. They put him over as a great wrestler who hasn't been given a chance yet. Bryan goes on to talk about how Harper was lost in the shuffle after Wrestlemania this year. He goes on to say that he asks some guys when their contracts expire because there's never been a better time to make good money outside of the WWE.

I don't understand Daniel Bryan. Guy had a tremendous career, but suffered a lot of injuries including potentially debilitating concussions.

Now he's got a wife, a child, and a cushy job he can ride for years. And healthy or not, he wants to jeopardize it.

Is it really so hard to understand that he's passionate about wrestling? He got 3 doctors telling him he's fine, his wife supports him, he doesn't want to sit at home and do nothing, especially in his prime years. He wants to wrestle.

Normally I'd take the wrestler over the WWE every time. But the narrative that they don't want this guy to wrestle for some non injury reason is truther level bullshit. He's one of their biggest stars! They'd love for him to wrestle and make money off of this guaranteed deal they have with him! He'd love to wrestle as well and didn't balk at wrestling 2 or 3 times in a RAW and then again on Smackdown and do a full house show tour as well.

There's literally no reason to not use the guy unless they are scared shitless about him dying or getting crippled in the ring.

The main reason he probably wasn't cleared is because WWE's doctor is Maroon and that dude has a shady history with concussions, so they are overcompensating to make him look good.

I absolutely approve of all of this. Including the "outside of the WWE" part which I know is gonna upset a loooooot of diehards.

Brie's been talking about a comeback of her own, and yesterday she said she's all for Bryan going elsewhere to come back himself

Two quotes from him in his book

"I have loved my career. I know that this -wrestling- is something I love, but I also know it's not the only part that there is to love in life. I guess it's my prayer to the universe to let me know when it's time to stop wrestling, because if it's left to me, I'll do it until probably past when I should."

”Whenever anyone has asked me if wrestling is ”worth it," meaning is the reward worth the pain, worth the travel, worth the being away from your family, I've always answered yes. And it always felt like it was. But I naïvely assumed that when I was done wrestling, I could always go home and make up for all the time I've missed with my family and friends. Now, going home isn't the same, and there is nothing I can do to make up for all the time I've spent away from my father. Instead of being proud of my accomplishments, all I feel is regret about not being there for the most important people in my life, the people who have loved me in a way that had nothing to do with wrestling. If you were to ask me today if all the reward was worth the sacrifices, I would say no. Yet I keep on because I'm not quite sure what else to do with myself and because stopping now won't give me any more time with my father."

Sounds like a pretty positive thing he's got going on.

Bryan lied about concussions, WWE is in a concussion related lawsuit for a while now.
