I don't understand Daniel Bryan. Guy had a tremendous career, but suffered a lot of injuries including potentially debilitating concussions.

Now he's got a wife, a child, and a cushy job he can ride for years. And healthy or not, he wants to jeopardize it.

Like Jake said, wrestling is an addiction. People lose families and their lives over it.

And you get addicted to the roar of the crowds.

Remember Bryan's celebration at WM 30?

Put yourself in his shoes and imagine not being allowed to ever relive that while you're still able to.

Do you think he goes back and watches it

I mean, he'd be very high on the card.

Hell, if Joe Maroon retires tomorrow I bet he'd let Bryan back. It's not like he *actually* cares what happens to these guys.

So they dont want Bryan to wrestle because of a concussion lawsuit, but they had Tommy Dreamer and The Dudleys wrestling all the time not long ago. They wanted Foley to wrestle Ambrose too.

It seems like a weird situation.

I think Bryan will heavily flirt and all but sign with another company, but at the last minute after a "recent physical", the WWE doctors will clear him. Now, would DB re-sign with them? Who knows.

I just don't see Vince letting Bryan walk away.

All indications are that he would sign with them if they let him wrestle as opposed to going somewhere else.

Bryan's issues happened while he was with WWE. Dreamer and the Dudleys were pre-WWE cases, so they probably feel way less responsible from a PR perspective.

And they backed off on Foley hard after examining him. They wouldn't even let him take bumps.

Bryan isn't going to be a huge boost to WWE anymore and there aren't any big American promotions left about which Vince would be worried. The potential bad business/publicity from Bryan getting paralyzed in the ring would be a lot more harmful than the benefit of keeping him with the company. At this point, the ship has sailed for making Bryan a marquee wrestler for WWE.

I was under the impression Foley walked away from that because he wanted surgery. I hadnt heard WWE didnt clear him.

Bryans concussions were largely before he went to WWE too.

One of the funniest/saddest things on Total Divas was every time they went to Natalya's house post-Tyson Kidd almost dying, he's sitting on the couch watching old matches of himself.
never forget

Bryan did have concussions before WWE, but he had quite a few in WWE, and that's very public knowledge. Dreamer and the Dudleys didn't, at least not documented during their recent short runs.

What I've read about the Foley/Ambrose thing is that Foley wasn't super into it from the jump. But my reference to them examining him is just in general recent history. I don't think his deal with Ambrose ever got to the point of medicals being done.

Take this with the biggest grain of salt, but there's a rumor going around that Asuka will retain at Takeover, show up at SS and be added to a match and win one of the Women's Championships.

"Failing" /s New York Times article about Jinder Mahal

WWE performers have long relied on patriotism and ”us vs. them" narratives. In the 1980s, a tag team featuring the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff waved the flags of Iran and the U.S.S.R.; in the 1990s, Sgt. Slaughter, a onetime patriot, switched his sympathies to Iraq. Recently, Miroslav Barnyashev, a Bulgarian athlete who competes under the name Rusev, wrestled John Cena in a so-called ”flag match"; the Stars and Stripes prevailed. But Mr. Dhesi has been elevated by the company at very specific moment. One of the pillars of President Trump's campaign platform was to cut down on undocumented immigration, and his charged language often linked immigration with crime, spurring protests all over the country. This month, Mr. Trump unveiled a proposal to cut legal immigration in half.

Both Mr. Dhesi and WWE executives deny that his story line was politically motivated or designed to send subtle messages, even as the company has made a large investment in becoming a global product. The WWE is looking to expand into India, a country where sports entertainment is already popular, with a potential audience of 1.3 billion people. Its programming is available now in 180 countries and in 650 million homes, according to a spokesman. It is a publicly traded company and has attracted many big name sponsors, including Snickers and Mattel.

I could maybe see it if she lost on Saturday. But retaining the belt and winning another?

Also it'd probably be Raw. Would love her on SD to feud with Charlotte or Becky but not gonna happen.

Fale
God
Elgin
AJ
Karl and Luke gallows
Etc.
Pretty sure Finn didn't live there full tim

Fale lives there full time I think, even then he lives in New Zealand so he can travel that much shorter distance.

Elgin really isn't full time NJPW anymore.

AJ was full time there and didn't live there, yes, but he was a special case given that he was AJ Styles.

Karl I think did live there but Gallows didn't.

I think Raw needs Asuka more than SD at the moment

Charlotte never got an SD title, Becky only had a quick title reign almost 1 year ago and could easily be on the main event again, plus Carmella (while she has the briefcase), Naomi and Natalya

While at Raw Sasha, Bayley and Nia are in the main event scene since last year, they only traded Charlotte for Alexa

That's all well and good, but Charlotte vs Asuka needs to happen.

if that Asuka shit was true by the way, it would get the mother of all pops at SS.

She would give up the NXT belt and they would do a tourney which are all the rage. Raw women's division gets a jolt

SD for some reason seem completely against pushing Becky and Charlotte at the moment. And they're setting Tamina up for a title shot opportunity so I don't see it changing after SS. Which is incredibly dumb as those two are your clear top talent on that woman's roster.

LOL COME ON. Although I would laugh if Undertaker cost Roman, just let it go. Shit match, but it was a nice final moment at Mania. Hopefully these are just cunning rumors.

Apparently Undertaker's hip replacement doctor is in NYC, so it's possible he's going there for a follow-up evaluation in combination with just visiting backstage.
