I feel your pain man. These rates are fucking disgusting. Meanwhile, spent $30 and got the unit i wanted off the Banner in Fire Emblem Heroes.
These rates are bonkers. But i cant complain. My Lunera, Aileen, Tidus came from free tickets and my 2b came from the .99c ticket.

As for my complaint..
You must have me confused with someone else.. because the only thing I complain about the game is the gacha rates..
Rest of the game kicks ass..
Tmr is a cockblock but farmable with little effort, which in a lot of game isn't..
Units are quite a lot, and yeah you might miss ONE specific unit, but ultimately there's no irrepleaceable unit//item.. most of the nag 5* are fairly balanced and the outliers are simply the bad ones (e.g. Lightning, mages in general)..
Gearing//ability setup is fun and reminiscent of when such things MATTERED in rpg.. nowdays most rpg don't give a flying fuck About status alteration, and apart from persona//smt almost no jrpg gives serious penalty for elemental misusage..
Plus the battle system with static threshold that you have to consider, buff//debuff are actually meaningful (and the debuffing part is almost gone from persona even, you usually just buff yourself.. last game that expected you do keep buff/debuff up and stack debuff was smt3..)..
And the concept of challenge is nicely integrated in the game, if a bit frustratring (e.g. Kill with esper.. like..ffs...) at times..
I actually made 5 colleagues of mine (fully grown men in the 29-36 range) join the game, and I wouldn't have if I didn't feel like the game was solid..

For me ffbe is one of the best mobile rpg ever made, the only downside is that while they're generous with currency, the atrocious rate can easily piss you off, but if you're not a completionist, you can just ram through content with properly geared units of 4* quality, as valentissimo has demonstrated multiple times...
This Bahamut exploration is the worst piece of content this game has to offer. It took me hours to defeat all phantoms in this giant map and before facing the real Bahamut I decided to save at a tent, but it turns out this resets the phantoms and I have to collect all the rat tails again. I'm really not looking forward to this trash when it hits global.

I haven't used 2b or A2 but I would bet it's because of the lag atm. Yeah sometimes it's nice as you can chain without mag gestures or macros, but sometimes it completely messed up a chain that should be good. GL just feels clunky atm.
It's not really a competition lol. I don't think the JP community ever lorded over us, the GL community do it to themselves. Always looking at JP and comparing and complaining. I don't think I've ever seen the JP guys say look what we have lol. It's always the GL players saying look what JP got.

Hey guys, been busy and also figured I'd avoid the inevitable salt mine from the Nier banner. Big congratulations to those that managed to snag their units and my condolences to everyone that did not have the RNG god on their side. It looks as though the rates were more abysmal than ever going by the posts in this thread. Now there is a worthless banner (to veterans) to help start the rebuild for your coffers of lapis and tickets ;p It looks as though some are losing interest in OK so if you don't go for that banner, chances are you can save a decent amount before you feel inclined to have to spend a lot again. As for me, I've remained strong in saving for Ayaka. I'd have loved DV but with the double rainbow banner, no thanks. I know that will become a norm eventually but it won't with Ayaka if they don't change things (please).
Question though, is Marie not trivializing the new trial??? I figured she'd be amazing for this but haven't gotten around to trying it myself yet. I'm not sure if the whales are trying to brute force it without a Marie or if it's so brutal that even she doesn't help much.

Thanks for all the advice so far, surprised that there has been no passionate, overly optimistic rebuttal to the "take your chips and leave" strategy.
I was thinking on what would be my next chase if I saved and was left at an impasse:
- The only must-have 4* on the horizon looks to be Mistair.
- 4* rates stink on double banners and will get worse once the 5* gacha change happens. This makes me far less likely to pull on banners where the 4* is only a nice-to-have.
- With 2 4*s per banner the 4* pool will also grow at a faster rate thus lowering the chances of an off-banner pull. Interestingly, the 3* pool growth rate decreases due to many banners featuring returning 3*s who are getting their 6* evolution, so don't think that Bedile and Shadow will start getting crowded out by newbies.
- So if chasing 4*s is not worthwhile, then chasing the rainbow is the option, but that goes against the tried-and-true low-eco strategy in this game, and even after the gacha change is no guarantee.
- Ayaka would be strong a consideration if I wasn't sure that Gumi will pull some BS on that banner like adding Lorraine.
- If all else fails I hoard for Bravely Default. It's not that I like it that much more than the standard FFs, but it's limited like Nier, so you gotta get it while it's hot.
- 'Member when Gumi was nice to us and split up double rainbow banners into two like when they took Marie out of FF2 and put her on Valentine's? I 'memeber.

Hahaha it's barely possible with the best of the best 5* units. Just wait, rewards aren't anything great anyway.
You've already been infinitely more lucky than most of us - chasing anything more is just asking for trouble.

Haven't been doing much but logging in the past few days. Been busy so not had the time to play but very glad I found some time today. Did a 10+1 and got two WoL. Glad to finally have added him to my list. Maybe now I can actually focus on saving lapis.

He's such an underdog but so god damn useful. I know many said that based of jp he will be the shit when he gets his enhancements and they were right, god damn they were right! I need a unit that can aoe fire imperil to beat this trial and I do not have one. Lings LB doesn't count as she's either Entrusting, being a mana battery, or breaking. She may just have to do.
I have Reberta but I don't know how useful measly 50% would be, I would lose the spot for the mana battery too.

A thread on reddit claims someone used Berta in their kill. Without an imperil it takes too long to do real damage.
Further more, Wilhelm's Impregnable.....god like skill, I see why they say he really is the best tank. Taunt for 3 turns and 30% damage reduction, da fuq!!!!

2B 6* Lv.99
Rain 5* Lv.63
Soleil 4* Lv.50
Vanille 4* Lv.60
Firion 6* Lv.99
I'm trying to push through the raid and get the black box to craft the katana but I'm still at 500,000.
I have a bunch of supposedly decent units but don't have nearly enough mats to awaken them let alone go for any TMRs. I'm thinking of focusing on either 9S, Fohlen or Earth Veritas, which would be the best to focus on for now and to replace who on my current team?
Also I keep hearing 9S's TMR is very good, I have 4 9Ss should I merge any of them? is there any benefit in the (far) future of having multiples of his TMR?
Finally is there anyone who would be kind enough to help me out with the raid by becoming my friend ? My friend code can be seen by quoting this post.

This seems like a very budget way to do this trial, needs Rikku though and..........2 9S tm's. I"m reworking my strat and it's looking very promising. Might be able to do it without Rikku if I can provide enough damage mitigation.

We've been complaining about the 5* rates a lot lately, and about how hard it is to get 9S, but I don't think I've seen anybody break down the 4*s on the coming banners so I thought I'd do that. Remember that these are just the JP ones and are subject to change in global. Some of these may be raid units too, I'm not sure how to tell.

Thing is, most of these units are not limited except BD. I wouldn't have chased after 2B if she wasn't in a limited banner. These non limited 4* units will come to us eventually.

Seems it's just 100% evade, safety bit, something to resist paralysis, and maybe confusion prevention?
Someone posted a build of ring of luck, safety bit, 3 quick assaults, sevens tm for confusion, event katana with evasion and sword breaker. Might be better items - post was a few months old and I don't know the game that well myself

You need Excalibur for Gilgamesh.
Swap out Crimson for Excalibur.
Edit: Also, your evade rate is at 95%, although quite high, 1 wrong rng will spell trouble.
That's why Lightning and Ling are preferred due to their innate 30% or more evasion skill.

Yeah I died at 46%. I'd take damage randomly every few minutes. Not a lot. Would heal up. But then at 46% something got through and got me. Will keep trying! If Tidus or Lightning is better then we can try that?

Why 120 turns? I had to kill it twice for the LB mission then had to stall near the end of its second life to make sure every malboro was within kill range.

- Override + Aigaion Arm with 3 Ignorances for LB building and ribboned for status immunity. Used LB every single turn.
- Fire Breath into Mystic Thrust combo. Vernard + Crimson Blood on both.
- Had Bushido Freedom, Rikku's Pouch, and Pod 153 equipped. Never had a chance or need to use Pod 153 though. Used Libra to check the Great Malboro's HP when it got <1% to gauge how much damage I was doing to when it had full defenses.
- Fully enhanced and used as a mana battery and fire imperil.
- Used General's Battlecry every chance he could. Didn't need to provoke with everyone dying constantly, but his counters were helpful for building LB.

Absolutely do not merge your 9S units! Yes, there is a big benefit to multiples of his TMR. You will be able to use them to chain units that wouldn't otherwise be easy to chain. I wish I could add you but my friend's list is full of Gaffers who play daily. I'm sure you'll get many adds as this community is extremely helpful.

Yeah Tidus is a better candidate. Should be safe with him.
You shouldn't have to when abusing Rikku's LB. Reraise takes a while to process so your corpses are tanking stray hits for free.

I just figured a unit would die, res and die again on the same turn. It's pretty crazy you can cheese the fight by only using RIkkus res. But what I don't understand is if this is the case, how come more people aren't beating it this way? And what about the double Rikku users, wouldn't they be "invincible?"
Also, why were you using generals command with wilhelm when Rikkus LB does the same thing plus auto res?
I'll finish my third Ignorance today and tomorrow I'll try again with 2B/2B/Lunera/Rikku/Reberta/Minfilia. EV won't be ready for a while without a fuck ton of LB pots so... Let me see if I really need that mitigation.
Edit: Actually, this is an awful idea, even resurrecting every turn, I won't recover MP if Lunera can't sing to everyone. Fuck... I need the mitigation to stay alive >.>
Maybe if I forget about the Reberta and use Fire Veritas... Need to test that.
