I just got to read the chapter.
Man Bart stole the show hahaha didn't expect that

Nami rocked too. Brook awesome as ever, jinbei the tactician.

Pudding has fallen so hard for the swirly eyebrows

Also funny to see Bege in the husband role like 'But chiffon, dear... '. Lol

Will Luffy beat Kaido alone or it will be everyone against him?

On the one hand, Kaido being established as someone who doesn't lose in a one on one fight seems primed to be taken down by Luffy in a one-on-one fight.

On the other hand, alot of characters have been advertised for the Wano arc, and Luffy's performance against Big Mom hasn't been great.

So do the strawhats bounties go up after this? Or no what y'all thinking. Stussy and morgans are there so they can pass on what's happened

I think after Wano when it's announced he went into Big Mom's territory and managed to get out and also took down Kaido.

At that point I'd also assume they might start referring to Luffy as a 5th Yonkou or the next in line.

He couldn't bear a commander without nami and big wasn't trying

Luffy v. Kaido is gonna be x10000000 more annoying than the time when people were wondering if Luffy was gonna beat Doffy with or without Law's help.

That said, I could see a 1v1 matchup. He barely beat Doffy. He struggled against Cracker, only beating him with Nami's help. He briefly saw where he stood against a Yonko when he had that quick skirmish with Big Mom, realizing very quickly that he has a long way to go.

It's stuff like that help to make it more convincing if Oda does decide to make it a 1v1 fight and have Luffy win. Right now I'm thinking of everything post Gear 4 reveal as a mega version of when Lucci kicked Luffy's ass, and he quickly realized he needed to get stronger. Maybe he'll come up with a new Gear 4 attack. Maybe he'll inadvertently access his Awakening.

That said, Oda himself admitted awhile back that at the time he could not think of a non-BS way for Kaido to go down, so Kaido's defeat may be through unconventional means. Maybe it'll be another Oars situation. Then there's also the matter of Franky's weapon that he plans on building. Either way, Luffy ultimately isn't too fussy about these things; if he needs other people's help to defeat Kaido, he'll ultimately accept it.

I still maintain that Luffy didn't actually beat Doflamingo.

The only reason Luffy survived to come out as the victor is because of the Dressrosa citizens coming in and playing keepaway with his body. If not for third party intervention, Doflamingo would have found Luffy laying on the ground, exhausted and helpless.

Sure it's possible that Doflamingo would have found a way to talk the whole 5 minutes or whatever it was that Luffy needed because it was one piece, but Doffy, on his own, outlasted Gear 4 and had the total advantage until the dressrosa citizens decided to cheat.

Hence why I said "barely". Never had to be a fair fight after all. But at the end of the day, his ass got sent into the ground, so good enough.

I think making Luffy an emperor would be redundant. We know he's going to become Pirate King so why bother?

I feel like the idea will prolly come up at some point. Some places seem like they would act as his territory, such as Fishman Island and Riku-Dressrosa, maybe Zou and potentially Wano. Then he has a fleet acting under his name, which works similar to how the other emperors have their connections. I imagine Luffy wouldn't be a fan of the idea though, and would shrug off any remarks about the subject.

Yeah basically this. I'm just saying ultimately they'll view him on that level with all the power he's amassed and the fleet he "has". No way in hell Luffy would ever accept the title.

I've always felt like the Emperors are essentially the power ceiling in the One Piece world, a sort of status quo. So if Luffy were to become one, even while treating it as no big deal, feels like kind of a dead end narratively.

Why are you posting Robin pictures guys?
oh ups, it's viola.

I'm down for team fights. Clearly they are not prepared for 1 on 1 fights against these monsters, so luffy nami and zoro against Kaidou or any other combination seems fun.

Zoro on top, robin in top 5 and franky not only on the bottom but under chopper. What I expect from a gravity rush fan

First off, wow.

Secondly, Zoro is great. Robin will always be Top 5, and Franky will always be my least-liked Straw Hat due to his TS design, but maybe he can top Chopper and/or Brook if he has some nice feats in Wano.

I have never insisted you buy Gravity Rush. I mean you should, but I've never pushed that on any one person specifically.

I didn't care about those, and I don't even like General Franky that much. Anyways, I've only been counting feats since after Dressrosa (Except for God Usopp, I will make an exception for that), so everyone has a fresh slate. So far, Nami and Brook are obviously in the lead.
