I wouldn't call Kale mid-tier, but other than that you got a point.

But then again, why didn't they match the fighters of similar levels to each other? I think it would've been far more interesting to see the earthlings handling and outwitting the U9 fighters who seem to be slightly stronger than them, than what we got with Goku and Vegeta eliminating them in one go.

Same goes for U10 who all just got dominated by much more stronger fighters, some of them off-screen even. I think things could've been more and interesting and tense this tournament if the opponents were on an equal footing most of the time, instead of one always dominating the other.

Yeah, I messed on Kale. She would fall under god-tier.

It's a battle royal, people are not going to magically pair themselves to match exactly their opponent. I mean, some times they do or try to, but most of the time you're kind of stuck who you run into. And U9 were the smart ones by all attacking in a group in using their teamwork. They they utterly screwed up was attack Goku and it went downhill for them.

U10 just got slowly picked off. Some did fight others of their level or try to, only to be knocked off by bad luck, overestimating themselves, or they got outplayed.

I do agree that it would be nice if there were more god-level people, but I honestly wasn't expecting it since Dragon Ball tournaments has mostly fodder with one or two powerhouses.

I lost it when it cut back to Champa and he actually had a vuvuzela in his hand after his discussion beforehand, lol.

Dypso did more against Hit than either Goku or Vegeta did in their first fights. And Hit couldnt tank his punches. He's Blue level at the very least.

Everything he did was a result of his speed.
Once he got figured out he couldn't do anything and got knocked out of the stage twice. His entire premise is based on speed and he lost any advantage he had within the span of a few minutes.

Just because you're fast enough to hit someone on god level doesn't mean you're god level.

Say what you will about Dyspo at least he actually hurt someone and gave them trouble from 6 or 7 and respectable fodder to Hit

If you're not god-level, you wouldn't be able to hurt someone on god level even with speed.

I like how awesome they've made Hit over time. I really disliked him to start with because his first fight with Goku boiling down to "Well, Hit can just make himself better over time" was really lame. Him actually using his abilities in different ways to be reactive to his opponents is way more interesting.

Although this tournament is making TFS's skit about Hit even funnier.

I'm so surprised people think SSB is faster than SSG... The whole point of using SSG was because its actually faster than SSB. Otherwise it's even more nonsensical why they brought it back. He's used SSB against those jobber wolves so don't come up with that nonsense that he's conserving energy.

Why can't Dyspo be powerful? Did people forget that he was easily out speeding the monster in episode 85, it was because he was caught off guard that he got grabbed. It was also demonstraited that the monster was really powerful since it took multiple hits from the 3 Pride Troopers there.

There needs to be foreshadowing. That episode alone made me think he'd be one of the weakest pride troopers, not one of the strongest. It's just not believable that alien would've been a problem for Hit. This is the first time we've seen Hit struggle without answer (initially) and I was expecting someone that strong to have the appropriate build up.

He probably wasn't near them, and he couldn't have known that Kahseral and the others were in trouble during the beam struggle anyways since nobody could see inside of that pocket dimension thingy.

I think it's more likely this is a story inconsistency than what you suggested. You honestly think they put that much thought into it?

I don't like God coming back either, but it's pretty easy to rationalize why he hasn't used it since BoG, for Hit I doubt God's speed would be enough to break the time skip and he needed speed and power, hence him using Kaioken. For Black and Zamasu God could have been useful, but you could also argue they needed the power too and maybe Goku hadn't figured out the bursting between forms thing yet.
I want to reiterate, I don't like that God came back, but it's not that big of a deal, it's more of a minor annoyance than anything. I would have liked some explanation in this, but it's whatever.

I really feel like you're clutching at straws here. It's okay, you can criticise the writing of Super. It's not perfect.

It makes absolutely no sense why he wouldn't try to use it against Hit if it is indeed faster than Blue. You can't rationalise it no matter what hoops you try to jump through.

And it's not a minor annoyance to me. It's them using forms 3 arcs later that clearly would've helped in previous battles simply because they either forgot about it for 3 arcs or because they assumed like everyone else SSB completely outclassed SSG (far more likely). And I don't understand how you can keep brushing off a lack of explanation every time something happens. That's shit story telling.

Sorry if it feels like a personal attack but I just get annoyed whenever everyone brushes off criticisms by making more and more ridiculous assumptions rather than simply accepting that this is poor writing.

On Super Saiyan God, I knew that we wouldn't get an explanation for its sudden return when Toshio said when asked if Vegeta had or will get Super Saiyan God that he hopes he would get it.

That told me that Goku having Super Saiyan God had no real explanation since he wants Vegeta to have the form.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is faster than Super Saiyan God. It was stated in the show. Whis said that Super Saiyan God was faster than Super Saiyan, but took less stamina than Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Not that Super Saiyan God was faster. Goku was using the switching between Super Saiyan God and Blue like Vegeta in the manga. And for the record, Goku used Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan in a short burst against U9.

That is kind of your assumption that the monster was weak when five Pride Troopers took it down. And it's kind of annoying that when people explain stuff about Super it's "we don't want to criticize Super", when the poster you quoted said that they didn't like Super Saiyan God returning and often called out Super for mediocre animation.

Again, Super Saiyan God is not faster than Blue.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan outclasses Super Saiyan God in everything except stamina and Goku and no need to save stamina until now. Yeah, Super Saiyan God coming back is out of nowhere and it shouldn't be back, but it doesn't change previous arc since it wasn't useful. Black would have pounded Super Saiyan God outside of his first appearance in the past and he was only around Super Saiyan 3 Goku's level, so Super Saiyan God wasn't needed.

Fee things

Blue is still faster God only preserve stamina, Whis never said it was faster in fact he implied Blue is still faster.

Dypso was fighting a monster for a second that required toppo and the general to help. That doesn't make him weak, when Gohan would look bad compared to Goku and vegetables and he regained his ultimate form

I agree that SSG was pointless and unexplained and hated they did that

Goku didn't even need it

Learned one thing this episode. Zeno cannot keep up with high speed action. If alone or in favorable conditions, I think Hit could actually assassinate him.

Zeno does not fight. But, was said to be impossible to kill and considering he survived erasing a Universe I dare say he's invincible.

Are some of you really that shocked Jiren is already being judged, even with the small amount of screen time he's had?

Look how long it took for some to decide that Caulifla is best character in Dragon Ball, period.

Whis: He's faster than Super Saiyan, and consumes less stamina than Blue

Whis: He even changed to Blue for an instant when attacking and maximized his speed and power

Goku usually starts his fights with base or regular SS to "save stamina". For Dyspo he needed something with more juice so he started with SSG. That's all.

As for the wolves, they're probably stronger than a lot of you guys have been giving them credit for, at least in terms of needing to push all 3 of them back at once.

Nice episode but yeah the ass pull SSG was dumb, they only did that so goku could match rabbit guy.

Toggling between super and normal god I can rock with because he has done that with regular super form in the past, only difference here is using the god ki.
