Eniola Aluko has spoken publicly for the first time about the "bullying and discrimination" she says she was subjected to by England head coach Mark Sampson
In her first broadcast interview since details of the controversy emerged earlier this month, the Chelsea Ladies striker - who has 102 caps and scored 33 goals for her country - told the BBC:
  • She was dropped by England just days after she had made allegations against Sampson having been asked by the Football Association to be part of a review - and suffered "victimisation as a result of me reporting discrimination".
  • Sampson made what she says was a "racist comment" about her family in Nigeria being infected with the Ebola virus that left her "shocked and intimidated". The FA said this allegation arose in informal correspondence and was not included in her complaint. Sampson vehemently denies saying this.
  • Two investigations into her grievances were "flawed" because key witnesses were not spoken to and key evidence not looked at.
Last year, a three-month independent investigation did not uphold any of Aluko's complaints and cleared Sampson and the FA of any wrongdoing.

I want to know more on this. She comes of as a bit of a bitch before this shit kicked off, but then he comes across as a cunt as well.
His comments about France at the Euro's were quite embarrassing. He's Billy Big Balls, isn't he? He needs to shave that jarg goatee off too.

I can't believe that second Kyle Walker yellow...

That bump wouldn't knock over a five year old; Calvert-Lewin should be embarrassed.

Don't blame the Everton player at all, ref needs to do a much better job.

Thought City did well to get a point and were the dominant side even down a man for most of the game.

As always they got burnt with poor finishing and giving away one chance.

I mean, she's an accomplished footballer so being a bitch doesn't really matter when it comes to the truth. It seems like Sampson decided he didn't like her or want her as a part of his set-up and was a complete dick to her. Now, I have no idea if the 'arrests' comment was racially motivated but regardless it's just a fucking straight up nasty thing to assume about a person.

Going down like a little bitch should always be ridiculed, IMO. He can go down without pretending he's been shot.

Yeah the arrest thing is the bit that I am like 🤔. Has she got a record? If not that shit is getting dodgy.

Tbf she isn't that good compared to the latest team. She is basically a lot of speed and now and again has a mad game. But then she still deserves to be treated with respect.

I agree that the second Yellow for Walker was very soft. On anoter occasion, it wouldn't even be awarded a foul

But I wanna say, that is a revenge of some sort for that bullshit Yellow on Davies. So fuck off Walker and Man City

Thats was just an attempt by Davis to do what Calvert-Lewin did but was obvious without playback. He kicked the ball in the direction he was heading then took a few steps to the left. Normally you trail a leg not change direction.

“Haven’t you been arrested before? Four times isn’t it?”

“Oh,” he said. “Nigeria? Make sure they don’t bring Ebola with them.”

'Aluko also alleges that one member of staff repeatedly spoke to her in a mock Caribbean accent'

She's never been in trouble with the police in her life.

I know they're likely only rumours and probably bs but I'd love to see Carrol return to Newcastle. Exactly what we need in the forward dpt and the thoughts of Gayle and Perez feeding off his hold up play would really strengthen the team.

Unlikely though I guess

He's got huge fitness issues though so not sure how much of a difference he'll make.

We've had this thought with every half-decent striker we've bought.

"Can't wait to see Carroll link up with Zaza!"

"Can't wait to see Chicharito play with Big Andy"

It's a false hope. He is destined to always be heading for another injury.

He can't be relied upon, and I'm not just talking about his terrible injury record. He goes missing for far too long in almost every game.

Also he likes Boyzone.

The same was said about Carroll and Suarez at Liverpool, and it took people far too long to realise that Maxi Rodriguez and Craig Bellamy were far better options than Andy.

I doubt she's got a record, she's a lawyer isn't she? Or at least training to be.

Sampson has always come across as a jumped up prick to me. None of this surprises me. He has a "my shit don't stink" attitude about him.

I disagree, it was soft foul (if that foul was awarded in the first place) but a foul nonetheless. he lunged forward and his leg was clipped. Doesn't need to the leg to change the direction in order to get a foul.Soft clipping is even a bigger issue in football, and players should be punished.

Christ, don't say that. Rustles will be jimmied.

Predictions at this stage of the year are worthless. Last year, just after Chelsea had lost to Liverpool and Arsenal, I remember reading an article about how Sean Dyche could do a better job than Conte at Chelsea.

I am not making that up.

And City won the first 10 games and almost every pundit was saying City would not lose the entire year.

Of course it's normal for people to say who looks good or bad at any point of the season, but it's so early to make proclamations about how it's going to pay out in the end except for the part where Huddersfield will be the Champion.

There's always one team every year that overachieves at the start of every season, and morons like Merson and Thompson will start talking them up for a Champions league place. Hull in 08/09 and Blackpool in 2010/2011 were the funniest. 1 was relegated and the other narrowly avoided relegation on the final day.

Leicester winning the league is going to make these predictions more commonplace for the next few years.

Tevez, Kuyt & Heinze among footballers named in hackers' leak
Carlos Tevez, Dirk Kuyt and Gabriel Heinze have been named by hackers Fancy Bears as three of the footballers allowed to use banned medicines during the 2010 World Cup.

The trio were among 25 players given Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) during the tournament in South Africa.

The Russian group also claims 160 players failed drugs tests in 2015 in the latest leaked documents.

Four of the failed tests were registered by UK Anti-Doping (Ukad).

Three players tested positive for cocaine and one for ecstasy.

This is the first time Fancy Bears hackers have released details about football, having previously released medical records of athletes.

Of course they are worthless. Barely any point even thinking about the title till after Xmas.

That really annoyed me last year. The quality of the football wasn't good at all but City were getting goals, they showed nothing to warrant the praise. They actually got significantly better when they lost some games and it was primarily down to keeper errors that they lost. The game when Everton beat City 4-0, City were by far the better team (only Davis for Everton really stood out in that game) but Bravo was a liability and every time they shot they scored.

That is one of the biggest criticisms I have about punditry in the UK. A team can play crap for 89 mins then have a min where they bang in three goals and the performance will be lauded. When often it is the other teams mistakes not anything to do with the quality of football being played by the team that won.

Standards of football in the PL should be much higher. People got bent out of shape when Henry criticised Lukaku this weekend but everything he said was correct. If fans had more demand for quality football then the quality might get much better.

The quality of punditry in the UK is shocking, and it's because it's mostly reliant on ex-players who are all part of the same lad-culture clique. Most of them spend more time attending charity golf events and gala dinners than they do actually watching football, which is their bloody job. I doubt that any of them watch any football outside of the PL aside from the classico, yet they all pretend like they are experts about foreign players as soon as an English team is interested in them. I cite an example I used previously in the thread: Jamie Redknapp described Granit Xhaka when he was signing for Arsenal as a player that doesn't like to make a tackle.

It's not like any professional writers are any better either, most of them just sensationalise the most mundane events to get clicks or sell papers. All they peddle is faux outrage and hot takes. Carra, Neville, Henry and the odd journo like Sam Wallace and the Football365 writers are the only ones worth bothering with.

Based on what? Fans have literally no say in the matter. What can the fans do in your opinion?

Simply have a basic expectation of how the teams should play and call out poor passes, control and movement. Players and teams don't like to be derided for their lack of quality but when they are getting praised for some shoddy performances or basic but flashy skills nothing is going to improve.

Listen to La Liga, Seria A and Bundisliga fans when they watch games they are all about the details which I rarely hear from Prem fans, post game analysis is also far better and the teams from those leagues show a much higher level of skill even though most of the players in the Prem are better players. Most prem fans can't even read off ball play or formations or the role of players in said formations so it is a big ask.

I'm not sure how many English football matches you go to, but this already happens, at least at the Boro matches I attend. Part of the reason Karanka was sacked was because he fell out with the fans when he accused them of being too critical of the team and going against his tactics during a match. We've also had countless managers talking in post-game interviews about how the fans got on the teams back and demanded more from them, getting riled up at wayward passes and the like. Some speculate that fan criticism is why Ozil is so bad. Fans are relentless with him when he makes the slightest error, and he's not the only one who experiences it.

Looks like Barca is losing its negotiating power, Nice is getting fed up with their behaviour regarding the potential transfer of Seri and are requesting money and a player.

I love watching this trainwreck.

I've been trying to watch some women's football these past months and I've come to a conclusion that it's not worth it.

It's just terrible. It's shit. I found it more of a comedic relief than a competition. I've seen better skill at my sunday league team matches.
