Mmm, I'm not really feeling any excitement for Forces from the trailer. I'll keep an eye out for more gameplay footage down the line. Seeing Chaos was a nice surprise though.

Man that Sonic Forces trailer works so well with Japanese VA. The silly cheezy bullshit becomes more charming. I actually hope the game has duel audio.

A year ago I would've been down for this but now that we can see it's basically just them hitting "randomize" on the character creator a bunch of times... lol.

Damn did I hit a nerve? I like Rouge, and Silver has one of the best themes in the series.
But goddamn, every piece of media came out would have people going "WHERE'S ROUGE, BLAZE, OR ELISE?" Like they weren't going to be in the game, (maybe not that last one). So now those folks can find something else to complain about (like how garbage the gameplay looks)
Also Triple Trouble is a better game than Chaotix, come on now.
Whoops, thought you were one of those people who still thinks it's relevant to complain about recurring characters who've been around for 10+ years being included in new games.
Chaotix sucks but it's still worth playing for the graphics and music. More than I can say for Triple Trouble!

Sonic's world outside of cream doesn't really do anything for blaze, and she probably is fighting people wherever
I like blaze to but i'm guessing that's the sitch.
I mean they could have used blaze being from another reality to i don't know show proof of how powerful infinite is , for him to bring her here. But you know, that would require like... constant writing. And given shadow is a bad guy for no reason and chaos is a thing and classic sonic is in this game. They might not give a shit about that .
Though given how this game looks,it looks like they didn't give a shit about alot

Feels like this game shares Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon's marketing team.
I hope the twist is that Infinite was an Eggman Nega creation all along and he shows up as the actual bad guy while Blaze shows up to save the day with Sonic, Sonic and DeviantArt guy.

You know, I was actually mildly interested in this game at first. Now I'm just interested in seeing how edgy the plot's going to be. The only good thing about Forces since the reveal of the character creator was them using Metal Sonic's US theme instead (I like it, even if his JP theme's superior).

Hopefully it isn't. Its written by the sonic 06 guy, and that story was 1/3 good. So hopefully they channeled that one 3rd
And thanks to this game appealing to the same crowd that buys a million copies of every Sonic game regardless of quality? They never will learn anything.
Maybe if Mania sells twice as well, but I vividly remember how much SEGA fucked over its own American branch out of money they would both earn in the 90's. They're likely just fine fucking over a team of talented Indie devs out of acknowledging they made a superior game.
Everyone seems pretty down on this game, but I think it looks like a fun thing for 40 dollars. At worst, the gameplay looks like a slightly-worse version of Generations, which is still not bad. If the story is good for a laugh or two as well and has some decent music, I'm in.

Eh to be fair sonic game sales have been on a decline and the last few... didn't do to hot. Then again its sega, they tend to learn the wrong thing.
That's why the story has me on edge, I don't know if they learned any of the right lessons

I mean, you're welcome to your opinion, but I enjoyed the modern gameplay in Generations (and similarly the day stages of Unleashed). The Avatar gameplay feels like a kind of unknown entity so I do want to see what reviews say about that, though.
