Has any reviews mentioned how amazing the sound in this game is. From noises amd weapons amd more. Holy crap. Super impressed overall so far with some minor performance issues aside.
Acg has.

Bought it after reading the positive impressions in here. Honestly, I didn't even know it was out.
Fuck Bethesda's review policy, all it does is deflate hype.
How to get the pre-order bonus?

Ohmy. My headphones can't wait.
idtech has usually some SERIOUS positional audio problems - so this and ACG's review mentioning it's good has me hyped!
mmhh I am reading elsewhere there's no chapter select?
so to get collectibles or just revisit, you have to play the game all over again?
not a fan of that
have there been any reports about how the game plays in classic mode??
is it harder than akumu on TEW1?
I know the rules for classic mode here are different than akumu so it may not be comparable directly but I want to know if it's going to be as much a pain in the ass like akumu in the first game.
So.. is Nightmare recommended for players that liked the survival aspect of the first game (but hated the bullshit moments) ? I loved the struggle, I just did not love some encounters because of weird design choices and unfair moments.

Are the side quests like Silent Hill Downpours? As in self contained stories sometimes featuring new mechanics or do they feed into the main narrative?

Where exactly? Im at chapter 3 alreadyIt shows up in chapter 2 after you get your first gun and leave the house.

So some are designated side quests, marked as green. Those are very few and far between from what it seems. The white ones are regular one that can be anything from finding gear on a body or ammo, to others leading to some creepy experiences. For example one left me stuck in a house and trying to escape "it" , another lead me to an armory.
Nothing happened with me thereIt should just pop out on screen when you first get the gun, just before the.mother who forces her son to eat
If not then you might no have it activated...?

It's got fucking clowns in it, too? Greeaaat.
Can't wait to play this, loving these impressions. Let's try to keep location details and enemy related stuff spoilered, please.

Haha. NoI just don't know what "it" was. So called "it" that.clowns
So here is a question for those that beat it. Can you finish on survival and then do new game plus on nightmare?
I know
I'd like to know this, too. This is my likely path. I don't think that I'm up for Nightmare straight out. And if I did, there wouldn't be a viable increased difficulty setting for New Game +, because I'm sure I'll never do the 7 save one.
Ive only watched reviews of the game but I really dont like what Ive seen. The art direction in the first game was so good but this just looks really bland, at least the hub world does. The UI is hideous too. What are these bright orange icons? Theyre distracting. Then theres the generic open world style conversations with NPCs complete with the stuff animation. Are reviews just trying not to spoil much? Does the art direction get better? Is the gunplay good? It just doesnt look like TEW from what Ive seen.
Just add the code to PSN/XBL/Steam and it should automatically pop up and tell you got it.
I pre-ordered the game 3 days before launch but didnt recive any codes or confirmation thatll get the bonusI got the pop up right after I came out of the house with the gun and finished the call with Kidman. Do you have the DLC installed?
snipperdoodle
What about all of the mainly positive impressions from people who are playing it in here?
Yeah no idea why, this game is fantastic so far, I only hope it keeps this quality of the first chapters for the whole ride.
Going to start playing tonight, as someone who played the first game on Survivor, I should jump in on Nightmare with this one right?
