All big team up movies seem kind of formless and terrible in summary. Its the moment to moment stuff that make or break it. I just wonder how the Whedon reshoots will mesh with what Synder already filmed.

But it deserves to be called out. What precedent does this threads existent set? Should i expect a detailed thread for the outline of the final GoT season when it eventually leaks? I know GAF enjoys poking fun at dceu movies, but fans still want to go into the movie unspoiled whilst being allowed to discuss their hype on this forum.

There's already a Justice League trailer/poster thread and a DCEU off topic community. No ones forcing you to click on the thread. Leak threads are common on Gaf so enough with the dceu persecution complex.
Because Starro certainly wouldn't lose in the end...

I could see saving Brainiac for a solo Superman movie, but he would've been ideal to conclude this sort of ghost of Krypton theme across the three movies. And I'm imagining a Darkseid tease where they say Brainiac tried invading Apokolips but got wrecked and ran away. Either way, I'm glad they aren't using Darkseid for the movie.
Starro would've been wack for the first movie. I did love how George Miller's Justice League Mortal ends with the League rushing off to fight Starro, though.

I think we are owed a starfish after Snyder chickened out on the alien squid in Watchman. Would lead to a different finale than the standards at least (Unless they make it like, Parallax Green Lantern boring).

The trailers have been hiding Superman even up to now if he is going to be in it. It's the worlds poorest hidden secret and yet they still try to keep the charade up. Might as well do it at this point and get the Superman fans in,

The movie versions seem different than the comics versions. But in short, super high tech thingies from space.
As for why Steppenwolf and by extension Darkseid want them, it's tech from where he's from.
Teleportation device, general nebulous space mcguffin.

To be fair I think Avengers really hasnt aged well at all. Almost everything the MCU has produced since has surpassed it IMO. Thats mostly why I dont like the idea of Justice League taking this many cues from it, it just feels stale at this point.

The "Unite the Seven" thing was only used in some early promotional shit from before there was an actual movie, just a cast. The safe assumption everyone has been going with is that originally a Green Lantern was going to be in this. People had actually wondered if they were going to be a surprise, but if this leak is true, sounds like they aren't. They are mentioned in the trailer though.

That's true. It's hard to deny the novelty of seeing everything come together, but the more these interactions become a regular occurrence, the less special the first Avengers is. Unless the Russos really drop the ball, it's easy to imagine Infinity War being the best Avengers movie, even if they fail to surpass their own Civil War.

The story sounds pretty whatever. Maybe the script could save it, but I don't hold much hopes for that. Will still wait for reviews.
Yep. Which is what people arguing about "formula" always seem to miss. The plot doesn't sound all that great from the synopsis, but that doesn't really have any bearing on the actual quality of the film one way or another.
As someone who has written, edited, and cleaned up Wikipedia plot synopses for film and movies, let me say with certainty you can never underestimate a fan's ability to make something they actually enjoy sound terrible.
