Man... Hitomi's breast got an upgrade hahahaha
I could live without either Bayman or Leon getting cut (they're different but not so different that I care) and don't really need the boss characters like Tengu back.
Really hoping Kokoro is not made redundant by Akira.

As many of you I'm looking forward to see how the other characters look in this new style, but I'm very excited for the new characters too, something that nobody is talking. As much as I like the ninjas, I hope they don't introduce more ninjas and more unique fighting styles like they did in DOA4 with La Mariposa and Kokoro.
I would be genuinely surprised if Momiji is not added in.
whats that
google only had some animu stuff that looked like nothing related

The close-up face of Kasumi and Ayane looks stunning.
They already revealed 3 of my favorite female cast in the game, and so far its better than expected, maybe except Hitomi.
I hope they polish Hitomi's face on the final version.
I totally agree! Finally we're seeing the Team Ninja quality we used to see last gen. Once again they are at the very top.Honestly, if we had gotten this leap with a next gen DOA game i'd have been happy. Amazing they're pulling it off on current consoles.
I like Momiji a lot but I personally don't want them to mix NG and DOA, even if they are set in the same universe. Ayane is OK in NG because she was there from the first game but that's all. I don't want other DOA characters to show in NG and the other way around, I prefer new characters for both games.
Said that, it will be interesting to see Momiji fighting style taking into account that he is a naginata user in NGS2.
Tae
Kwon
Do
TKD
Fighting with the feet.
I want this in DoA more than ANYTHING EVER!
This too. I don't even care who its practitioner would even look like, so much. I just want to see what Team Ninja's animators could do to represent the style.
Yep! DoA has my favorite animation in any 3D fighter. Watching Brad Wong is amazing.
Because the visuals look too good to be true, I am worried it might not be native 720P, or it might have AA problem
Hope it is like Soul Calibur 5. I loved the native resolution and sharp AA in SC5
We'll find out in 5 days.
Is the demo on the NG3 disc or is it a download voucher?
We'll find out in 5 days.
Yea I got NG3 pre-ordered.
The first thing I will play is DOA5 demo, not NG3 lol.
I will play NG3 while the DoA demo is downloading.

Best use of Sixaxis.Oh yea, its gonna be DL voucher...
well I guess I will do the same.
But I need to play NGS2 before 3..
Not sure if I like the character selection screen. The stats are kinda funny, how come Ryu only has 3 blocks in attack and Hayate, Hitomi and Ayane 5 blocks?.
The Hitomi player on the second video did some good stuff. One week to go!.
The juggles still look like weightless, empty crap when light attacks connect...but still better than the atrociousness of VF. However, everything else looks pretty cool. The speed has been slightly reduced, which actually lets you see some of the nice animations while giving impact to the moves that do come out an increased velocities. Still looks like a few of the light combos using japs or weak hits looks paper thin, but over all its a pretty big improvement over what we have usually gotten from DOA. Loving the backgrounds and all the movement though.
Will probably buy. Can't deny a good game.
Freudian slip?

FSD said:Surprisingly, this is probably the most interesting gameplay video yet - in my opinion. That's because the player using Hitomi is certainly knowledgeable about the game, using jab pokes, crouch dashing (both forward and backward), proper setups, and poking. It's definitely good to see and makes me wonder who it was who played Hitomi. In this it also appears the cliffhanger doesn't do that much damage, not even killing, and you can also opt not do direct the Power Blow attack which would cause the player to just fly backward by default. I can see a competitive player just not caring at the point in time it's shown because it would kill the opponent anyways. Also, we see that sidestepping can evade pretty early in an attack - something suggested by virtuaPAI in a previous thread.
Is this approach being adopted to appeal to a broader audience than the genre generally attracts?
YH: Yes, that's true...that's one thing. Some fighting games are very hardcore, which we have in here. We're not ignoring our hardcore audience; they will still get the same experience they've gotten in the past. We have the deep fighting game systems, but we also wanted to make it so the more casual crowd could also have fun with the game.
Fighting games typically don't focus on narrative. Will DoA5 's fresh approach also translate into a deeper story mode?
YH: Yes, it will. It will be more like one whole intertwining experience rather than just little cut scenes.
Can you talk a bit about what you have planned for online multiplayer modes?
YH: We'll obviously have multiplayer as we've had in the past. We're planning a huge online mode, but we're not talking about it just yet. We're also still experimenting to see what will fit best. We'll also have lots of the favorite characters from the franchise, but I will put some new ones in there as well.
Okay, great, and when can we expect to see more of DoA5?
YH: Well, we’ll have the demo that you just saw included with Ninja Gaiden 3 pre-orders. It will also be in the collector’s edition. Before that, at the end of March, we’ll also have some new announcements.
The Hitomi vs. Ayane match-up is probably my fave of the bunch. I believe the comments on FSD sum up my feelings well enough on it.
