Wow, I didn't even know I was facing people from here. Sorry. :(
Half the pair play matches end up being disconnects which is really sadly irritating.
And good games AAK.

oh sweet, getting infinited. time to leave

I only did two cycles of it. :p
Lag and my crappy d-pad were messing everything up.

Hey if you get battle canceled with me, just hit ready and I'll drop out to let the next person play

I keep forgetting that I can hit ready and the next person can switch up. I ended up ruining all of y'alls matches. :(

Yeah dude. You just waltz in, pair play it up, do infinites and make me dc. HORRIBLE.

They still haven't gotten rid of infinite's? smh

You can't? If the Nina play screws up the timing of inputs your character will make an escape, in some cases one that actually hurts Nina.

Yeah, pretty much this. It has very strict timing. You can escape it if I mess it up. So glad I can do it within combos.

The game must have sold so bad they don't wanna put in the resources to fix it. That's gotta also be the reason the netcode is so awful.

They should just take the time to give us the game we all want: Capcom vs SNK 3 (or CvS2 online edition)

What's up guys, this is cHaotix posting on Joe's account. Just want to give you guys a heads up that Boom Gorillas is streaming Texas Bar Fights round VIII today. We have a lot of top talent from all over Texas, as well as Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas in the building. The lineup includes AE2012, UMVC3, SFXT, Skull Girls, KOF, SCV and BB. It's gonna be a great tourn out with a pretty accurate representation of southern talent, so it'd mean a lot to us if you could come and check it out for a bit.

Boom Gorillas is also doing a promotion today where if you donate 20 bucks to the stream, you'll receive a "Boom Bundle", which includes a shirt, 2 buttons and stickers (the shirt is pretty baller by the way). Thanks again GAF!

The game's been out for like six weeks.

The sound glitch patch had the air of an emergency hack pushed through to fix an issue they obviously knew was there when the game shipped.

They've already said multiple times that other patches are under development, including tracking down the infinites. (Including those that haven't been discovered yet by the public.)

Didn't know there were infinites in this game. Which characters have them?
there aren't true infinites, but a few have fake ones; kazuya, xioayu, kuro... the only i've really only see in a match though is kazuya's. theres a system in place that doesn't allow any combo to go over 99-hits (iirc).

also, capcom already made an official statement of going to fix them. its just a matter of when.

If they allow us to set exclusive characters to unusable a big chuck of the glitchiness (or I should say "roughness") will go away.

You can't, but remember she only grabs you if you're standing.
She can grab in the middle of a combo following her ivory cutter.........so it doesn't really matter if you're standing or ducking.

Simple combo with her: d+4, qcb+fk, 1+4 (ivory cutter), then follow up with the grab. You can also have the combo do extra damage by doing b,d/b,b+1+2 before the ivory cutter.

I meant using it as a dashing command grab outside of combos. I thought it won't grab if you're crouching and not in hit stun.

i haven't really found a good combo using her grab. the only reason i do it is because it looks pretty hawt. her juggle combos seem to do more damage and are more switch cancel friendly. i think the real purpose for the move is for mixups off a blockstring or to punish a fireball since the rolling dash is projectile invulnerable.

I use the move sometimes in battle. Mostly because it looks awesome to do a command grab in the middle of a combo. I've also found Nina to work really well with Heihachi thanks to the switch cancels after her ivory cutters.

In that case, I'm not even sure.

What about roll cancels? If you take it out, it isn't an arcade perfect port. You keep it in, you're essentially keeping a major bug that wouldn't have patched out under modern standards. You have two modes, you split the user base.

Nostalgia is nice and all. But between HDR and 3rd strike online, it's pretty clear the port that Capcom is willing to/capable of putting out won't satisfy the people asking for it anyway.

They could do it like HDR where you can choose the style of game you want when looking for a match: classic and remixed. Therefore you satisfy both parties.

Only thing I don't like about S3 are the lobbies in player matches. For some reason 60% of the lobbies I attempt to join I can't because it tells me the session no longer exists when it clearly does. Ranked works flawlessly though, and I actually connect to players on S3 in ranked faster than UMvC3, SSF4:AE, and SFxT.

Or you just leave in Roll Cancels because it makes CvS2 a better game.

They would for sure keep them in. In 3rd Strike, they only got rid of the bugs that broke the system, freezing your character in place, etc. Ones that affected gameplay were untouched. I think there was one where Akuma can't throw Hugo if Hugo is going through his standing to crouching animation. And the one where Ken and Dudley can OTG big characters with one of their supers. Those wasn't removed.

Is there even a chance capcom will rerelease cvs2? I keep hearing they still have a contract to release their fighters on dreamcast and obviously cvs2 is one of the last ones left.

I remember hearing that SNK and Capcom aren't in good terms with each other, which is the reason why there will never be a CvS3. But then again licencing agreements are confusing so who knows about CvS2.

Yeah that's why there wasn't another Cardfighters Clash sequel that came out for the DS sometime ago, long after the original agreement...

From Wikipedia:
There were interviews with SNK that it would be possible to renew their contract with Capcom to make new SNK vs. Capcom games,[1] but in another interview, both companies stated that they would not do any further collaboration with each other. SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS will probably be the last crossover game between both companies.[2] However, in an interview from January 2009, Yoshinori Ono, the producer of Street Fighter IV, expressed interest in a possible third game if fans demand it.[3]

Nothing about any bad blood between them so who knows?
