Do women see extremely muscular men the same way men see anorexic women?

My sides are gone within a couple of days, sweats, headaches, whatnot(least not like sweating standing in line to get some coffee lol). Usually try to start thyroid pct a couple days prior to ending...not even sure how much that helps though. Not super concerned with adding mass atm, but I know I have lost a decent amount of lean mass along with the fat. Probably isn't a way around this without adding other stuff into the equation, and not really interested in that at this point. Hear you on the smell.... :(

Ya. The first time I did it nothing. Then the next time...Jezuz. It was really chemical smelling uhg. However, the shit works. And when I say works I mean like a bullet to fat works.

dude, every time you post a pic of yourself, you say that you're oh so perfect! which is why i said that. it was a tasteless joke. i apologize, jason. let's watch archer together. just let me in, bro.

In real life, I never think I'm perfect. Far from it. I joke around, acting like Archer and Dennis from Always Sunny. Gets people to laugh, although in college this one chick was in love me because I made her laugh ( even though I woo'd her with the Archer quotes). Now there's a guy at my work who thinks he's in the top 1% of most beautiful people in the world. That's annoying, but he's serious about it.

Oh, and your welcome, Woodhouse. ;)

Maybe not the most perfect bone structure but when you consider your body is fucking perfect I'd say you're one beautiful bastard. Must be real nice.

Eh, it's ok. Funny enough, this morning at work one of the cashiers tells me that some customer just called and said the cute guy in apparel was a great help, and that please tell your manager that. I'm trying to figure who it was. Couldn't have special if I can't remember. =\

I'm pretty built, but I've never been told I was too big.. except by my Wing Chun Sifu. He told me my arms looked cartoonish and kept me from being able to move properly. Just prior to kicking my ass to prove the point!

Most females I talk to about the subject say they like fit guys, but not the extreme. I agree that as soon as the muscle is so big you can't move properly, just like fat, it's unattractive.

Ah yes, the muscles too big to move argument. One would have to wonder the other factors in play here.

Yeah, it's also more an opinion. I think my size is fine and I don't have trouble moving, etc.., but my Sifu disagrees. The really big guys, however, who can't wash their backsides, have gone overboard, imho.

That's less of a "muscle" issue and more of a flexibility/mobility issue. Which was City's point.

The flexibility and mobility are affected by increased muscle mass. It's a muscle issue. These guys don't become inflexible "just because". They wouldn't have the problem if they didn't have the muscle. As well, no amount of stretching will fix it.

I've never had much muscle but I've always been inflexible. Sucks.

Did you really not get my point? I was just saying what you goal was is something that would be extremely hard to attain

He and Natalie Portman made the Thor movie almost bearable to watch. I'd say thats a pretty god like act!

LOL. Just realized my comment was about 7 pages too late!

for me (guy) my perfect body is 100m dash runners and basketball players. I like for the muscles to show and have that 'v' wearing a shirt, but I definitely hate bulky. Some gymnasts have perfect bodies, but the problem I have with them is their shoulders sometime look irregular larger than normal.

OK guys this is going to be long,

I'm in my 40's and have struggled with my weight since the age of 11. About four years ago I decided to transform my body. I wasn't just a fat guy looking to drop a couple of pounds I was looking for an entire change to the shape of my body. I'm telling you guys that it CAN be done but it takes effort, more on that in a moment.

First off, women do NOT like overly muscular guys, this is true. There will be a few women who are turned on by huge muscles but the winning combination is lean AND muscular. Women are generally attracted to guys with a V-taper with wide shoulders and a narrow waist. Look up "adonis index" for more info. I believe it's hard-wired in them genetically. They've done studies where women chose the most attractive body type from skinny to overweight. What came out on top? Toned, not brawny, skinny etc. Now with that being said this is not true of all women, it depends on her preference. Some like tall and gangly, some like guys with a little fat on them, etc. Every woman is indeed different in her taste in men. But toned comes out ahead in these studies.

As for how to achieve a lean and muscular look you need to change the way you think. If working out is seen as an inconvenience to your schedule you are already doomed. It has to be something you incorporate into your routine and that takes a change in mind set. It did for me. Four big areas are:

anaerobic: hit the weights but don't lift out of ego using a huge amount of weight and poor technique. Get good lifting technique down. Don't ignore your lower body like a lot of guys do. This will just make you asymmetrical looking. Its the huge upper body look combined with chicken legs. Not attractive.

aerobic: walk, run, cycle, you have to burn calories to get the body fat off. You can't ignore this part of your routine.

diet: Big one, way more important than you think. Limiting the amount of carbs is crucial. Anything with refined sugar is bad. IF you are drinking sugary soda, quit. I treat myself to junk/fast food now and again to "cheat" a little and keep me sane. Basically, lower the carbs and increase the protein content.

mentality: Don't fight with yourself to go to the gym. Just go and do it. After a while its just something you do in your new routine. Need to keep focused and have a goal in mind. You have to be patient, it takes a while (a few months) to really start noticing any gains. A lot of people quit because they are not seeing the results they want right away. It takes hard work, consistency, and patience.

As a weightlifter, im struggling to understand some of these examples of muscular bodies

Secondly I have no idea why guys who have no will, ambition or mental staying power to get big are dictating what's too big or not

Ryan Renolds is a skinny but lean guy, at my gym he would be considered a beginner. But I guess that depends on your goals

Bigger is better IMO, fucknwhst women think. Do it for yourself, not for anyone else.

No, it's a result of them not maintaining flexibility and mobility while gaining muscle.

You don't simply become some immovable rock from gaining muscle.

This.

Different women like different things. I can GUARANTEE you that no women would be mad that their bf or husband got in good shape and looked like or even looked like a huge pro bodybuilder just as long as their relationship didn't change. Don't forget that what people say they like isn't always true, and a lot of men here seem to be speaking for women. Men, you have no fucking clue what women like, myself included. Stop acting like you do.

In his defense he's talking about the "larger" muscled group like body builders. It's still a false thought though.

True. Look at Ronnie Coleman doing the splits. Inarguably the most massive bodybuilder ever. And I don't know a single male that can do the splits.

I always wanted to have a body like Tupac's.

He's thin but not to thin and has nice muscle definition.

IIRC he never worked out and hated doing it. Pretty crazy how someone can just look like that without trying.

If we're talking in shape, then (hell) yes, by all means. Pro bodybuilder shape just comes off as cartoonish and obsessive (imo), definitely a deal breaker for me, but different strokes, yeah?

It's like if I were to get anorexic level skinny, or get some huge bolt-ons and an orange glow tan, I'm pretty sure any guy I'm dating would have some choice words about it. I kinda see it as the same concept.

jesus, the op reads like the musings of someone who has cobbled together everything they know about sex and relationships from reading the magazines on the table in a doctor's waiting room.

How you can consider those the same thing at all is beyond me. There must be some serious disconnect from reality there.

You're equating an eating disorder and fake tanning/plastic surgery to dedicated weight training and extreme discipline.

Just wondering, what's the cut-off for amount of muscle you find unattractive? It seems that anything past what is uttainable naturally is what most women find attractive. And I'm not talking about an unhealthy low BF% and a spray that competitive bodybuilders have solely for the sake of competition.

The Hodge twins are natural BBers close to their natural genetic potential as far as muscle mass:

Would they be more attractive if they weren't as muscular?

Pretty sure 2pac did at least bench presses or something, those chests don't come naturally through daily activities

edit, I always loved Mike's body , like in the avatar. Dude's workout regime was above extreme tho

Throttle down dude, it's cool. No need to say I'm disconnected from reality. It's only a matter of perspective, and I happen to look at pro-bodybuilding as an extreme behavior that has an extreme effect on a person's physical appearance, and we're talking about physical appearance here, not discipline and training.

The easiest simile I could come up with was the one that was also pointed out in the OP, 'anorexic thin' is just as unattractive to me as overdoing it with the muscles. Plastic surgery can also be extreme and radically change a person's appearance so I cited that too.

Just about anything past what is attainable naturally crosses over into the unattractive zone for me. Again, different strokes for different folks.

Yeah you would think but I actually have a book where a fan published letters they had wrote each other while he was in prison and she asks him about his routine or something. Let me see if I can find it.

Ok here's what he said: "After getting shot I started 2 workout a little but before that I didn't do shit. No weights, no push ups, nothing. I eat like an animal but can't seem 2 gain more than 165 pounds"

edit: a little is underlined in the letter.

Ah yeah, glorious metabolism, know a friend just like that. If he wasn't lazy enough to workout once or twice a week he'd be look great as well.

Anorexia requires extreme discipline as well :)
