Halo |OT12| Last One Out, Get the Lights

Buffalo is surprisingly well represented in HaloGAF.

Help. I'm at that part
in "Forerunner," the end of the first three-way battle. I'm trying to get through the walkway that leads you into the area, and there's that turret along with three Watchers and a Knight. All I can find around me are Suppressors, Storm Rifles, and limited Boltshot ammo.

Any hidden caches I don't know about?

I recall entering the area with a light rifle. I always run right passed the three-way battle so I just gun the chumps in the alleyway down.

You are Master Chief, the weapons you need were inside of you all along.

I say grab a Supressor and do the BK charge. Oh, what's that you say? You're NOT playing on Normal?

What difficulty? I'm guessing you're talking about that bit that happens right before
the whole Ghost/vehicle section? There should be a ton of boxes filled to the brim with Light Rifles on that platform you walked out to, but I could be thinking of the wrong area. I'd personally use Hardlight Shield to deal with any turret interruptions because it's easier to take out. If anything, I'd use Suppressor on the Watchers, Storm Rifle to take down Knight's shields, kill it with Boltshot, or just charge it with an overcharged Boltshot. Turrets will go down to pretty much anything since you don't have to worry about their health recharging, not to mention they're stationary.

Isn't Buffalo some type of mammal?

I thought it was that big new vehicle in Halo 4!

Good to see that less than a week after Halo 4 has come out they are already recycling challenges.

Sorry. I forgot to mention I was on Legendary. I did find a way around it. I couldn't see them from what I was standing, but I rushed forward and there were LRs behind a rock. Thank goodness, too, because I've already died several times on Legendary from running out of ammo of useful weapons, and I wasn't in the mood for that to happen again.

Ugh, with the lack of Red X's and fire/damage indicators on teammates being so subtle I have no coordination in Slayer Pro at all... at least not alone in matchmaking.

I wish more randoms knew they can pitch the oddball now. So many times the ball could have been kept in play if they just tossed it

Just for the record, I'm not actually from Buffalo. I don't know if Heckfu was misremembering or making some joke that I don't get, but I'm from just outside Los Angeles
For some reason I thought you were a Bills fan. But you've done Zelda cosplay right?

Had an absolute blast on Halo 4 tonight. Loved SpOps ep 2 in 4 player co-op. Palmer is starting to become really fucking annoying though, I'd be more than if she was killed off.

I find matchmaking is really enjoyable everywhere except Infinity Slayer. Throwing the Oddball at someone as they charge you is just awesome. We did have a guy on our team use the Complex exploit though, which really pissed me off as we were miles ahead when he went in there. Such a dick move. :

Why is it that in the run up to every Halo game, they talk about how they've introduced a load of mechanisms so that if you're a driver you can earn loads of points and be rewarded just like if you're getting kills?

I had a CTF game on Ragnarok, For our first four caps I drove in & out and all the way back to our base, then for the fifth my passenger got killed when we got to their base. I got out, killed the flag defender, grabbed the flag and ran it all the way home. Finished with a 0 k/d, a bunch of assists and a cap. I had the lowest score in the game, less than half that of the next guy in my team.

Who'd be a driver?

Spartan Ops may have it's issues but I'm having fun with the episodes. I do wish you could matchmake against legendary though. Scoring would also add some nice replayability.

Watching my roommate play on heroic. That level where you deactivate the pylons sucks. There is no ammo and you're just like "these weapons are gay, this game sucks". I feel bad for him. I should just tell him to stop.

Yesterday Agro and I did that. We hid in the wall and giggled gleefully as we passed the ball back and forth, racking up points. If only Oddball had personal ordnance.

Wow, Starwolf really likes Zelda.

I do not understand how this wasn't an issue in the play tests that they (hopefully) had while designing campaign. I have not talked to a SINGLE person who has not had an issue with ammo throughout the majority of the campaign. It makes the game boring and un-fun.

Playing Co-Op fixes this because you can just suicide and re spawn with ammo, otherwise you're forced to rock plasma pistol/bolt-shot.

HALP, I got the Knight in White Assassination achievement, but the avatar award didn't unlock for me. Anyone know if assassinating another Knight will unlock it, or am I screwed?

Also, Waypoint only gave me one of the Raider Helmets for my Avatar, I assume because the second one is the female version. I'd still like to unlock it since I'm annopyed byt he "16/17 unlocked" when I should have the all. Possible?

Eh, I figured that the combination of that and Deadeye were meant to get people to try SWAT. Which is fine by me, I guess.

Lol it still makes me giggle thinking about it.

I played co-op with a guy with the mark VI armor. It looks way better than any of the other armor. It's tempting to slog through legendary to get it.

I guess it comes down to how much you enjoy using Promethean weapons, but against the Flood you always had a variety of human/Covvie stuff to scavenge. I'm playing CE right now and the ammo is just ridiculous, it's amazing to think that you have 120 shots in reserve with the pistol while the DMR is only what? 48?

Get him to play the
New Alexandria ripoff.
Plenty of different weapons to play with, and if you really want in the (campaign location spoiler, nothing crazy)
hangar bay at the beginning
you can get a teamkill-fest going on that rivals that of the opening hangar of Crow's Nest.

Anyone know of a way to set up loadouts for guests? Its defaulting to 3 of the same AR loadouts which is not that great. In fact, it isn't great at all.

Story questions for mission three:
1. How can the Didact manipulate the signal of Infinity while he's inside the Cryptum? Isn't he's supposed to be unconscious? Halo: Cryptum made a Cryptum out to be like a cryotube.
2. Why didn't he kill the Chief after he was released?

1. To push the story in the direction 343 wanted it to go.
2. See above.

It's part of the universal handbook of what bad guys should and shouldn't do when they have complete control over the good guy.

Anyone for some slayer pro? I'm on for a little bit.

EDIT: hit me up if interested. I'm gonna go ahead and start some games. Maybe I'll play better than last night :p

Got to end of last level of Spartan Ops.. last enemy and crawler glitched in a fucking wall up high by where they spawn, and has been there the whole level.

Yes I am pissed. That mission was long as fuck, tedious, and never ended. Jesus Christ.

I had a knight glitch through the floor on that same level. I could see part of him sticking out and could not shoot him, but repeatedly meleeing him eventually worked. Took probably a minute or two.

Annoying.

And I have finished all five missions on heroic, yet the challenge that says heroic or harder will not be rewarded to me. Disappointing.
