Halo |OT12| Last One Out, Get the Lights

Each specialization is about 338,400 XP, or about 1-34. So even with DXP, it should be a little bit more until a SR130 is in the wild.

Yeah.. I didn't realize with my DXP that I got about 10-12k xp every spartan ops. I jumped from 40-69 in only a week or so once I noticed that lol.

It wont take too long. Anyone know what the daily XP cap is off hand?

Yes, it would, all the time.

People get in, a map/gametype they don't like gets voted for and they leave. Bam you start the game lopsided. Happened all the damned time.

That's quite a different thing than the game voluntarily choosing to start up with uneven teams...

Does anyone have a full list of all the Waypoint codes that have been discovered so far? HBO, THC; anyone?

Guys, guys.

What if -

Now follow me here -

What if 343 took out campaign theater and file sharing -

Follow me -

So that every video would be a leak?

Without theater and sharing you too can film a video off-screen that's been prerecorded on VHS!

That tactic worked for the marketing! :p

343 should look at how Telltale handled The Walking Dead episodic content. If it was that high of quality, I would fucking pay even if it was free.

I am genuinely interested in who at 343 industries thought camo was a good idea.

It was in Reach. They probably felt the need to bring it over to appease people who might enjoy it.

I thought it was pretty ballsy of them to nerf the jetpack but thankfully they did.

The removed Armor Lock... and mostly eliminated bloom. Not to mention they radically changed a lot of other things that were in Reach. So I can't take that argument at face value. There must have been someone (or mutliple people) that really think Active Camo is good for the multiplayer sandbox. Anyone who plays BTB for more than 3 games can already see how poor of a decision it was to leave it in the game. I fear this goes back to having a small sample size of players who generally play by "honor rules" and aren't intentionally seeking out any and all glitches and exploits.

In my opinion they should have removed Jet Pack, Hard light shield, and Active Camo from multiplayer (and they still can). I'm not sure how matchmaking works with limited custom loadouts. Would there be a splash screen when entering the lobby/hopper that would say "your custom loadouts won't work with this playlist."

They can leave Camo, HLS, and Jet Pack in the game as they can prove crucial in campaign, but they don't deserve our time in multiplayer.

Is it really that good? I want to buy them on the marketplace, but there's a physical collection coming soon. I saw a few people on GAF calling it the GOTY.

It's without a doubt my GOTY. I've bought it 3 times, PC, 360, PS3 and probably just for future sake will buy a boxed copy. It's that damn good.

I just want a single button which turns JiP on or off. If you want to join a game, you can use it. If not, turn it off and it'll try to join you in a lobby that hasn't started.

I absolutely love JIP. Playing with full teams is so much better than the lopsided mess that happened in all the previous games.

Have a switch and if its on you get 1.1 times the XP you would normally get. That way most will leave it on and the people who get do upset by JIP can avoid it.

Give the option of turning it off without any reward/punishment and everyone will turn it off, resulting in the shitty online experience of mis matched teams that we have had in the years previous.

To add to this I would want people who could and would "turn it off" to only get games where everyone has it turned off so they get none of the benefits from it either. If they don't wanna contribute to a better experience for everyone, stick them in games that have no possibility of being filled out when someone quits.

The thing is i don't want to join a match where the team is getting their asses kicked, i always hated that.

Am I right in thinking the Light Rifle is not a hitscan weapon?

Can someone explain hitscan? This may explain why when I watch the killcam the person is not shooting me but all AROUND me and yet I still die, this happens way too often. And when are we going to get an actual reply in some form about gameplay changes and I don't mean playlist updates, this thing needs a TU and then some?

Why would that matter? If I choose to turn off Join In Progress it simply wouldn't put me into a game already in progress. You wouldn't be affected at all (unless the population count gets so low that there aren't enough players joining to replace the quitters).

I have no idea why some of this forum has such a hard on for Join In Progress. It can be extremely frustrating to join a match right before it loses, finish the game, wait in the lobby, and then still be put into another match that is almost over (instead of starting a game from the beginning). That's not making a better experience for anyone. That's just giving people needless amounts of frustration due to a partially/potentially broken game mechanic. If people don't want it to affect there playing style give them a toggle.

Killcams are borked. Don't pay much attention to them as they don't really seem to work... Don't hold your breath on any real information from 343 on a Title Update or any other game changes.

1. It matters because if you aren't going to contribute to JIP you shouldn't reap the benefits. Effectively you're asking other people to make your game more enjoyable while being part of the "problem" (refusing to help the problem yourself) Sticking people who opt out of JIP in games with ONLY people who do the same will do what the guy before me said encouraging people to keep JIP clicked. Don't want to use JIP? You don't have to, but don't expect other people to be "filler" in your games when you refuse to do the same.

2. Because JIP is exactly what Halo needed IMO. Quitters and having to play games with lopsided teams was one of the biggest issues with Halo. Some of us don't care about joining a losing game. Some of us don't give a shit about K/D or W/L ratios. Some of us play a GAME to have FUN. I know it's shocking, but we do.

Now that isn't to say we don't play to win, that's not the case. However, we aren't so stuck up our own asses about or K/D W/L ratios that joining a game half way through is going to make us lose our shit because or E-peen got reduced by a notch.

Just played through a game on Haven where as soon as I showed up at the firefight, without fail, the entirety of my team would run away. I managed a meager -11 K/D (with 10 Assists) because as soon as I died again, without fail, the rest of my team would file in to combat and kill all of my one-shots. This happened over a dozen times.

Just got out of a movie, but wanted to respond to this. In previous games, Reach for example, the game would search for players and only advance to the voting screen once a the lobby is completely filled. You are describing people leaving during the voting, halo 4 is the game skipping "searching for players" part and going to the voting section with an already incomplete game. Please, convince yourself that this is different since it clearly is.

End result is the same, also, same shit occurs in Halo 4. It's not different. And all of this is in context of JIP, which you are now leaving out.

You like me, you really really like me!
I'm really taken aback by how different Big Team Battle games flow in Halo 4. The DMR is an absolute beast of a weapon. I can't even pop my head out from behind a rock without getting pressured by DMR fire every single time.

I kinda wish it was AR/Magnum starts just to encourage more map movement.

See, JiP helps the quitter problem, for that it is good. If it was just added to Reach, it would have helped those games where people quit out during voting. However, Halo 4 creates that situation almost every game with the assurance that JiP will fill those spots. Yes, that sucked in Reach, but it was somewhat rare; it happens to me after every game in 4. If they just fill the lobby before voting starts, these games wouldn't be starting 4v1 all the time and I wouldn't have to rely on JiP to fix it 5 minutes later, a bit too late in a KotH game.
