Nope. I used to be a huge FF fan, but the last FF game I bought day one was XIII, and while I ended-up getting some enjoyment out of it, they should have paid me for playing the first 15 hours or so. I kept an eye on XIII-2 but never got around to it because XIII left such a bad taste in my mouth. This game however, looks like complete garbage judging from that trailer.

With the end of FFXIII-2 came the end to all sense and logic in the world.

Actually deciding to make FFXIII-2 was probably when all sense and logic died.

Actually the ending of ff13-2 does make sense ..especially if you pay attention ..it was even heavily forshadowed ..it's just that you don't expect them to trully stay in this path.

Actually FF13-2 wasn't such a bad game package ..sure there was some issues here and there but no game is perfect..

i say this as someone who isn't happy by this ff13-3 trailer at all despite wanting to know the rest of the story

I don't know if this is sarcasm or not, but I really do think that this looks fantastic. I liked XIII, and XIII-2 blew my mind (my GotY), so that's why I'm extremely positive towards this game. And judging by this trailer, it looks great! Can't wait to come home and re-watch the trailer 50 times :3

Yikes, that's pretty rough. If the art direction or direction overall of the trailer was good, it might be reason for optimism, but both those are lacking.

Me too! I put down XIII for weeks after 20 hours but eventually forced my way into finishing it, not sure if that made me hate it more or less,

not anymore. this game is exactly what they need, if this gets panned out there again ala FF14, and that looks very possible looking at that so called "trailer", maybe they finally take a hint they are doing a horrible job and some much needed, long overdue change happens over there with certain heads start rolling, maybe.

If you compare this... thing with titles like HALO 4 or what we've seen of the Last of Us you can tell this is just poor developing or just sheer lazybones.

I eventually put 50 hours in FF13(with my bro, I couldn't do it alone) and 125 hours in FF12 which was also a boring game, it was a good rpg with nice gameplay elements, but perhaps I was spoiled by FFX weeks before it.

FFXIII-2 is the best thing to come out of fabula nova crystallis chapter.

I hate to bash individuals, but feel if the likes of Toriyama remain in power then my favorite gaming franchise will completely lose all its appeal.

It baffles me how they give someone this much freedom to do what they want with something that can make or break the company.

I'm confused about to the gameplay of the game. Is it the same battle system as XIII? It also seems to me that they try to implement some Kingdom Hearts moves like jumping after climbing an edge or similiar things. I'm not the biggest fan of XIII and the trailer did not let leave me longing for more. I wonder how the final product will look.

The town also didn't particularly look like as if the NPC would be interacting with each other or with the player. This can be subject to change though I believe. What probably won't change is the inspiring story I missed in FF XIII. I did not play XIII-2 but I'd expect to see some connection or anything to the previous game or what the basic plot will be. This is criticism for the trailer and not the final product but this is not a good trailer at all. Why did they make a 7 minute + announcement trailer talking about the things that make this game special and then don't really show it? It looks like XIII-3 basically.

Oh my GOD, what can I say? That was absolutely amazing!

If you take the framerate out of the way (I have no doubt that they'll fix it), everything looked really good. This version of Blinded by Light sounds nice! The "pole-dancing" made me go "O_O".

I'll have to study the things that went on during battle to gather some information, but I have to head to work so I'll do that later!

The fact that this is allowed to happen signifies a fundamental problem with the company itself; its not just a problem with one 'rogue' director/producer.

This is why I don't hold out any hope that Versus is going to save the brand. Its still being developed by Square Enix, and its a Final Fantasy on hd consoles. Thats a kiss of death as far as I'm concerned. Why would it be anything else? Makes no sense that it would be good at this point.

They probably feel a standard JRPG can't sell millions, but I fairly believe it still could. I hope when this bombs as bad as XIII-2, Kitase and Toriyama are kept away from FF.

Not getting incredible bad plots for starters. Toriyama is not a good writer and he should stay away from FF...actually from any SE IP.

I was wondering when someone was going to post a FF12 image, I know it is an early look but the textures and buildings look like they've just moved over some PS2 assets, but have far less personality and style to them.

Man I wish they would get on re-releasing FF10 so they can bring us FF12.

WHAT IS THIS?

I swear her head looks a bit too big for her body or at least a bit odd looking with it like she had lost weight and not in a good way, for someone who runs around fighting all day you think there would be more muscle tone at least. I thought the same with Serah in FF13-2, take away the boobs and you end up with what looks like a childs body.

That whole outfit is definitely ridiculous though.
