Well that and ps3 wireless is honestly really fucking bad, at least on the phats not sure about the others. That contributed to the whole ps3 sucks ass online as well.
Lol why the fuck would anyone download files or play a game online using a wireless connection on any device? If it has an ethernet port, use it!

If you do a poll on gaf you would be shocked at how many people play with wireless for reasons.

It'd be cool if JP could ask the devs at Platinum what their personal favorite characters are, either conceptually or mechanically (ideally both!), and let us know. For example, which character does Hideki Kamiya use??

My router is literally 3-4 feet from my PS3, that's why. BUT I do have shitty slow speeds, so maybe I should dig out that old ethernet cable.

Wireless still introduces more latency so that doesn't really mean much of anything and I want the smoothest experience possible in competitive fast paced action games.

Yeah. My modem/router is too far and I don't want to string a long ethernet cable to my PS3. That and we have a cat that likes to chew cords.

I could probably get those ethernet jack things that plug into the wall but eh...

By the way, is there a "superior" version of this game?
I know I already gave out my PSN ID because I intend to buy it for PS3, but since I do have the choice of buying it on either console I'd really like to know if one version is (in terms of performance and/or graphics) better than the other one.

Not really they have minor differences.

It pretty much looks like get the 360 version if you don't mind some screen tear with your performance increase and PS3 for no screen tearing and a little dip in performance.

Seems somewaht extreme, but I do prefer to avoid screen tearing and I'd have to resub to XBL.

More likely if I was willing to resub though I'd just get the game on both and keep my options fully open, if I was more into multiplayer I'd probably be doing that anyway.

He's the Blacker Baron, so he's like a super Black Baron. I guess.

Anarchy Reigns and MadWorld don't appear to be in the same universe, they just have a few of the same characters.

Still awesome to me though! I liked the character designs in MadWorld so this game just speaks to me.

OK, watched some Douglas videos, and I'm really digging the character. He was originally the character I was least interested in, because at a glance I didn't know what he was supposed to be, and he just looked like a generic robot. But then I looked closer and saw he's a wizened old bearded man in a robot body resembling a knight's armor, with a scarf and hood like a wanderer, and he has freaking pile-bunkers for weapons, which frankly elevated him to awesome status right then and there. (The cherry on the sundae is their names, Romeo and Juliet, collectively called The Twins.) Looks quite capable in combat, too. Still eyeing Big Bull first and foremost, but Douglas looks like a ton of fun. All of the characters are really growing on me.

Does anyone know what the leads platform is on this game?
PS3. Nearly the same framerate, and no screen-tearing.

All Platinum Games lead on PS3 now to avoid the Bayonetta port fiasco, which was Sega's fuck-up but could've been avoided had the more complicated platform been used first.

(WiiU exclusives lead on WiiU, of course -- duh)

I still have no idea what that means

IIRC the differences between versions have been the same since Vanquish for PG games; PS3 version is V-Sync'd with no screen tearing while 360 version has a slightly superior/more consistent framerate and control responsiveness

For all intents and purposes they are identical

Jrpgfanatic; Illumina-XIV; PS3

I ordered this online so it should arrive within 2-3 days of the release date. Based on what I've seen so far I plan to mostly play Fei Rin, Mathilda, and Bayonetta.

Lead platform is which ever one is getting work started for it first.

Right I assumed as much

I just don't understand why people seem to think that matters or is indicative of the quality of the final product is all.

Because it does matter, and it is indicative of the quality of the final product.

If you really believe that

I'd be REALLY worried about Bayonetta 2 then, if they started working on the PS360 versions first before cancellation!

But now they have only one platform to completely focus on for the rest of the dev time.
