This person believes the third legendary will be based on Niohoggr, not Jourmungandr. Niohoggr will raise the dead to fight the living during Ragnarok; he is the enemy of the bird of knowledge and the protector of the world tree, which seem likely to be the inspiration for Xerneas and Yveltal, respectively. In other words, the two new legendaries aren't rivals -- they share a common enemy in Z.

This confirms my suspitions of Nidhogg.

Interesting. Maybe Jörmungandr will be this gen's Mewtwo. From wiki:

This ties into Ragnarok.

Agree with the possibilities of the third being nidhogg but I stick with hraesvelgr and eikþyrnir for Y an x origins while the trio I think will be psychic and another type getting references from the norns.

That doesn't seem to be just resolution to me. Check out the ground textures, and the Eiffel Tower model; seems to me like the whole thing has undergone a bloody good polish since that trailer was cut.

could it be because (this is my reason) without the tail it looks like he could CRUSH YOU with those hands, and with the tail it looks a lot less viable to do it...

also it's background or mythic attachments are fine or whatever I'm just talking visual design here guys... also I'd even liked it if it was another color than just red(/black) it's kinda weird they made X rainbow-ish and Y like that...

Anyway, they still look better than Gen 4's godawful protagonists. And Black 2/White 2's. But they also look a little too much like the Cool Trainer variants of Red and Leaf's designs. I mean the girl has the miniskirt and same style of hat.
