Considering the reason why Capcom brought in NT was so that people could care about DmC's storyline again...

Oh and according to DmC fans their most anticipated aspect of DmC was the storyline. As for me personally... one of the things I cared most about DmC was how NT handled
the Vergil vs Dante fight
both in terms of mechanics and presentation. It's hard to tell without cranking up the difficulty and because the video was blurry as fuck... but it didn't look impressive at all.

Also I think part of the ending is in that Vergil Downfall DLC. Hopefully it ends with him becoming Nelo Angelo and paves way for a sequel.

When it is on sale for $5 on Steam.

1 was fairly solid outside of some silliness. Best environment and Mundus was a good antagonist. People will point out the "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" thing, ignoring that, the story was pretty solid.

Lucia was hot

The bro thing was really well done in 3. It was probably the greatest clash of bros I've seen. The ending was really good too. Manly tears were shed

4 had a piece of shit story

A few nice things, but god for the most part her rips it apart. Jesus I can't honestly believe how badly they seemed to fuck up DT. Going into DT was always a treat, this activily makes it sound like all I would want to do was to avoid using it.

I'm not even sure which one is supposed to be "Crow," the left?

Maybe the later Crow movies radically redesigned the character but the left is no where near Brandon Lee Crow. :/

Not to mention it's a horrible outfit. The Vorgil designed one looks better.

Also Kyon, sis, I dunno if you're serious. Please tell me you aren't.

Just saw the ending.
The people who stuck with DmC from the beginning deserved better. I always knew that NT without outsourcerd writers would be nothing to brag about but come on! That was neither bad nor good it was just so boring!

You mean the all-weapon system? Like DMC1? Yeah, that was a bit weak having to flip through weapons for some of the weapons you wanted compared to DMC3's two-weapon system.

Personally I think fusing DMC3's two-weapon/gun system (and letting you choose them in a menu a la Ninja Gaiden's weapon equip system at will) and DMC4's style system would've been BRILLIANT and really wish Capcom would do a DMC that way. The only downfall of DMC4's style switch was losing some moves. But eh, I'm willing to lose those moves to Trickster->Gunmaster bangbangbang/twirl in air->Swordmaster Propshredder->Trickster dodge at will.

So disappointed that they relegated Quicksilver to an item that you use to dodge lasers instead of something you can use in combat, and DmC has removed it completely.

DMC1 wasn't even part of the equation as you would have to go to menus to switch weapons.

In DMC4 you have 3 firearms and 3 devil arms but 1 button each for swap. If you wanted to switch from Rebellion to Lucifer you would have to tap the switch button twice to get to it. Compared to DMC3's system where you only have to always tap once to switch.

In DmC at least for devil arms all 5 of them are available after one input which is quite nice.

Example:

You have Rebellion (this is always equipped), Eryx and Osiris equipped. I want to do a combo involving all 5 weapons. So the inputs would be.

/\ (Rebellion), L2 + /\ (Osiris), D-Pad Left, L2 + /\ (Aquila), R2 + /\ (Eryx), D-pad Right, R2 + /\ (Arbiter)


DmC has removed it completely.

I hope they don't cheap out on Vergil's Downfall. Would be nice if it has full cutscenes and voice acting.

It has the animation when it starts and it floats everyone, so it's different in the usage. Less common to use/can't put it on and off as quickly along with having to pull guys down to you to attack them (if you want to use more than aerial attacks).

I like the style for more than just reminding me of a comic character :p

But we'll see if I can use the new DT in a similar manner in the full game.

That seems a little awkward to do the Demon/Angel weapon switching on the D-pad. Don't those also have a slight lag in switching?

To be honest, it really wasn't that good IMO. Yeah, it's a neat concept but not really needed.

Ending was not bad, just lame compared to what we saw before. But it was not bad, at all. Graphics are geat too, it's just music that is baaaaad.
