I love how great Crysis 3 looks but Battlefield is just unique to me. It looks really nice.

RoKKeR's Battlefield 3 shot is my favorite in the thread, so far. That game looks ridiculous, like an oil-painting in some of these shots.

I was definitely in awe playing through Crysis 3 but man playing that tank and carrier level in BF3 was just something else.

I think it's the fact that despite how much I've begun loathing the guys at Dice, I have to applaud the way they don't clutter a scene with too much information.

Yeah, those two were huge standouts for me graphically. People like to hate on FB2's lens flare and 'blue tint', but I've always loved how BF3 looks. Lighting, scale, detail, it all still floors me from time to time.

And I was about to say thanks, antitrop, but all I did was push my poor 570 to its breaking point and press F8. ;P

Seriously though, this thread seems like it has a bright future ahead of itself. I also forsee many gaming news sites using your shots in their articles, the clarity of bicubic sharper defies all of console gaming's reachable limits of fighting aliasing to gain IQ.

Whenever I feel sad about PC Gaming's situation, I go in this thread and be happy instead.

PC gaming will continue to do fine except for the occasional AAA shooter that MS or Sony will pay for to be exclusive. I'd be surprised if we don't see almost every console game get a PC release given there won't really have to be extensive dev time put into it for the next gen of consoles.

The textures on the white part of that house are hilariously bad and out of place, looks like someone just went back in time 10 years, opened up Photoshop and did a stock texture filter. It really stands out from the rest, and not in a good way. Also that tower in the back left, lol.

I like the way my town looks and fortunately you can stick to the default textures in your version. It's a win-win.

EDIT: I do agree about the tower and I should have noticed it. It seems to have been caused by using the free camera to roam around and take the shot.

I redid the shot to clean up that tower. Just grabbing a screenshot and posting it without doing a thorough inspection is not going to do this thread justice. I'll be more careful in the future.

You can start a race, then jsut pause and hit 'replay' and it wil lgive you an external camera, but yeah, mine is borked too. And performance has gone down the toilet too. Even palying normally at native res, with no opponents, i get like 20fps

You need to hold the camera change button instead of a quick press to get outside cockpit views.

Thanks fellas. Holding f fixed things up. Also, I tend to let the ai race when I'm screenshotting, I find it more flexible with the TOD. Performance is about the same for me though..

Didn't see this post. It could be just because it was so hard to get the game stable to take a screenshot. Something was trying to move all the time. That was the most still I could get the shot.

Just think about the amount of funding or attention that the military industrial complex would provide the games industry if this was the case for everyone.
