if you put both together it's probably the best handheld Zelda experience
I wish they could somehow retroactively merge Link's Awakening into these games, lol.
I'd say the Oracle games are a shade shy of LADX... which is to say they're incredible.

These two games will look cool in my eShop folder at the very least.
I haven't bothered with MC like at all. I played for 30 mins and dropped that noise posthaste.

So how does the linking work in this version? I always did it using the codes on the GBC carts. (The process was basically, talk to a person in your 2nd game who gives a code, give it to a specific person in your completed first game to get the item there, give the return code to Farore in your 2nd game.)

I tried playing one of these once, but didn't like ot and quit. I played the one where
. Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda, so I expected to really love it, but nope.
With that said, I'm really excited to give it another try! I think I maybe just wasn't in the mood for it at the time.

the moth boss (other versions of which are in Link to the Past and a few of the other games) and the medusa head thing
To be fair, that part does tend to drag a bit. You definitely should give Ages another chance, and play Seasons too. Seasons is a bit easier/simpler than Ages AKA less of a pain of in the ass in some aspects

I always think of Seasons as the "colorful" one and Ages as the "dark" one, lol. Funny they have distinct atmospheres despite using similar graphics engines.
Each game introduces a brand new race to the Zelda universe: The Subrosians in Seasons, and the Tokay in Ages. It'd be cool to see them again in another Zelda some day, but since they're tied to Holodrum and Labrynna, respectively, I'm not sure when that'll be!

I actually played up to the 3rd dungeon in Oracles last week, without a save. Getting it all back is around 30 minutes.

i remember those days. i was gonna buy all 3 and then the news that they were reduced to 2 came and it was disappointing.
i guess the proyect became way too ambitious for the time (and, as usual, it was never attempted again even though we have capable tech now)
I'd put them slightly above LADX. The final two fights in the Oracle games are leagues better than the LADX ones. The dungeons too.

Can't wait. Finally got around to playing a 2D Zelda in Link's Awakening and loved it. Can't wait to play these and LttP (waiting on a Wii U VC release for the latter).

#TeamBoth. I never play one without the other. It's practically one 16-dungeon game for me.
Damn. It would be nice to get the same deal as the US and I'd happily pay £10 for both.

Can't wait to play these again; having them digitally will be a humongous help with the extra stuff.
And beautifully backlit, in perfect color! The GBA SP and GCN GB Player always did funny things to the colors, making them darker than they should be. On the 3DS, not only is it backlit, but it looks exactly like it should look!

if it's any help, Seasons comes first according to the game's game ID. Seasons is the 7th Zelda and Ages is the 8th one.

They really are a great pair of games.
it's a shame that they came out at at time that impacted their sales negatively (the GBA was out already)
