The Wii U needs a Pokemon game. It's only natural since we are going with letters now; Pokemon U.
A shame it doesn't look nearly this good in the game. :\

From the rough audio, the instruments used sound much stronger than the DS's soundfont - at least that's my impression. The guitar is sounding great. I need to hear the song in isolation to form an opinion, but it sounds good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cCWoP3aN2o

I just noticed that Pikachu says 'Pika!' in the amine thing, but none of the other cries do (even if the older ones sound updated). I actually preferred not having the anime style voices. Not sure how to feel.
You've lost me.And that doesn't mean the models look crap or if the FPS is low.
Okay, I see what you are saying. Unfortunately, the 3DS and/or Game Freak is not good enough to pull of his style. It's not lighting, it's a style. They've clearly gone with Sugimori's styling, akin to anime style. The original model as seen there is the base model which can then be adapted to other styles such as a Dungeon style
Well, according to the clearer pics, it appears that Pansy is the older sister of Viola, and that she's a journalist working with a publisher based in Lumiose City.
Secondly, after looking at the picture more closely, it appears that the 3 friends, aside from Xavier/Yvonne (who live next to your place apparently) all carry different devices.
Sana looks like she has a purple Vs. Seeker strapped to her bag, Tieruno looks like he has a yellow Pokétch on his wrist, and Toroba is holding some green device that I can't place (thought it was a Pokénav, but it's too different).
Ah right, missed thatI posted this earlier. Given all three are starting their journey alongside the PC, I suggested their respective devices might also mean they are from other regions. Maybe they already have starting Pokemon as such.
Maybe, maybe not - would have to find out the context of Horde Encounters to find out if they are actual random wild occurances, or if they're event battles.Wont horde battles increase the chance of shiny pokemon by five per random encounter.
Ah right, missed that
Though the up-close view, and the fact they look like devices from x-region supports that, I guess.

OK OKI was theorising based on the Professor only having three starter Pokemon and there not been enough for all three characters, as well as the PC and possibly the opposite gender character. The article clearly states that all three are starting their journey with the PC.
5It seems like random wild occurrences.
Though it seems like the sort of thing where they'd test out how it works in limited areas - like how Double Wild Battles only occur in tall grass or when you have someone with you, or something like that.
So as the game progresses, instead of giving you stronger bosses to fight, they just give you more mook level enemies... hmm. From what I remember from the roundtable they said that they implemented horde battles to balance the game. They didn't want to put powerhouse pokemon in as challenge because people would just catch them and steamroll the game. So instead you'll enounter hordes.
I'm wondering where they sit in terms of difficulty. 1 vs 1 is easiest, wild double battles are a little harder, and I'm guessing horde are the hardest without multi-target moves.
Gotta save something for the July Pokemon DirectSo is Clefairy going to be fairy type or not? Still find it odd that of all the old Pokemon to show getting the new type, Clefairy was not among them...

Well, maybe different "sections". If you recall the Pokedex is actually split into Eastern, Central and Western Kalos
Maybe. We apparently will be receiving one of the kanto starters fairly early on in the game.I posted this earlier. Maybe it varies depending on the level of your initial Pokemon, so as to make low-level training in late game viable. Then they'd have strong Pokemon in more offset areas.
By what time should we expect the information become available tomorrow?
I don't think so, but they become more balanced. So is the reign of the dragon type finally over?

Here's hoping we get a cool Fairy/Fighting type Pokemon.
Ice should have been resistent to Fairy T_T why buff Poison on the offensive and nothing for Ice? And I guess they will be less common now that they're not needed to kill Dragons
