Infamous gif is pretty but after five minutes of playing a game I usually stop caring. I'm not one of those people who goes around looking at ground textures and shit when I play.

I remember doing that for Killzone2 online concrete textures in that certain map, forget the name but has these sick textures omg

The situation is obviously fucked up.

CoD running on PC with Xbox prompts
No Ass Creed IV Xbone footage yet
No Watch Dogs Xbone footage yet
BF4 seen running on PS4 at GC, no word on the Xbone port

On the positive side Ryse and Forza 5 look great

Any links to that BF4 stuff? I've been in the dark when it comes to that type of info.

Yeah because 99% of real life racing takes place during the night.Personaly i think good phisics and great collision detection are more important.

On Topic

My opinion PS4 pretty graphics.XB1 pretty graphics and great online support.XB1 8 Years infront when it comes to online play.

This is literally only an argument a fanboy/apologist would make.

If Forza provided you with night races, dynamic weather conditions and dynamic lighting you wouldn't for one second be whining about those features, you'd be lauding them.

Instead because of the fact they arent you are making excuses and contorting arguments to deflect legitimate criticism.

No footage of AC4 and Watch Dogs, because they have a partnership with sony on those games.

Heck, Gran Turismo 6 will have even more of them than Forza 5, & it's on a last gen console.

And MS have partnership with EA for Battlefield and FIFA. Partnership with Ubisoft for The Division.
There is footage for all those games running on a PS4. What exactly is your point?

The Division hasn't been seen running on a console (and no, a high end PC with console controllers doesn't count), and neither has Battlefield or Fifa.

keep in mind that as you say this, nvidia and amd together control less than 40 percent of the gpu market.

the other 60 odd percent are Intel integrated graphics, and intels market share gets bigger every year.

AMD likely isn't concerned with competing with nvidia at the high end of the market with their gpu/cpu devices. they're going after the much larger percentage of the market that thinks current (or next)gen console graphics are "good enough" and buying Intel right now.

right now they have zero percent of that market. next gen games being programmed exclusively on their hardware will make ports to these integrated devices dead simple as well as give them a decent amount of name recognition for the advantages of proprietary stuff like hUMA. look at this thread. page 1 is wtf is hUMA, page 9 everybody is an expert.

again, this isn't rocket science, follow the money. AMD and Nvidia are losing share to Intel. desktops are becoming a niche market.

AMD doesn't have zero market share for integrated but I get your point.

That said even if someone was relying on integrated solutions a savvy buyer would know AMD was always the better choice. It's how I chose my first laptop years ago.

AMD with all of its clear gaming advantages over Intel back then couldn't help them gain dominance. That just shows the vast majority of people didn't care one bit about their integrated GPUs and sought for a better CPU which was always Intel's advantage in that space. I don't see the situation getting any better for AMD.

Also while integrated gpus are cutting into the sales of low end discrete cards the sales for medium and high end are still relatively healthy. As I pointed out earlier in this thread, PC hardware sales for gaming purposes are up year over year even if the general PC hardware sales have been declining year over year.

Holy shit at that inFamous gif. If I'm going to nitpick, not that I know what neon sparks looks like in the rain being absorbed into a person on a roof--but I'd expect some dynamic shadows coming off of main character guy. And come on guys, Ryse looks decent despite the fire being an animated gif and the water being ripped off of ICO. The animation kills it for me though. Looks like a videogame no matter how photo realistic you get. Haven't seen much of Forza, but those garage shots aren't impressive either. Yes it looks fantastic, but hard to drive without seeing the road. I'm not looking for image quality if I'm going 100 miles an hour. (160.93 KPH)

That's my two cents, for what it's worth.

Edit: Couldn't tell if there was reflection in the Ryse video/gif, but there is in ICO, so bad comparison. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hNBHtZshYk

One line of code in Windows could, theoretically, break AMD compatibility. Theoretically. That would actually kill AMD. It's not likely to happen, but it's possible.
I'm sure some form of antitrust laws would come in to play to deflect such a move.

Battlefield has been played on PS4:

Just played Battlefield 4 on PS4 - most impressive. It's everything you love about Battlefield but at 60 frames and on DualShock 4

Do we know if it's 1080p/720p with/without great AA ?

I don't really care since that one is one the areas that suits me fine with just PP AA on PC. I don't even use anti aliasing but put PP AA on medium. Looks good with minimal fuss. Especially while the action is hot.

You won't even notice if they use the same settings on PS4 since the action looks great.

I would like to see some footage of the game on PS4.

All this would be great if the 3rd party devs used the extra power to polish the PS4 version. From what we have seen this gen, most devs don't care or are too lazy to give the love to the console with extra juice.

I hope this changes big time this gen and PS4 gets the extra polish it deserves for that extra power it has.

The backlash if MS did that would be swift. It wouldn't be worth the bad publicity.
