Playstation Plus Thread 2: How do I hold all these games?

Sorry for the double post but...it's a slow day at work and I hate waiting for the Plus update like this =_=
Remind me what Vita game(s) we're getting this week? Is it Hotline Miami?

Kingdoms of Amalur is really fun.

It's really a shame how much attention this game received and the unfortunate situation that happened with 38 studios. It was pretty clear that Curt Schilling had a love for the games that were being made. Wish they were around to make more.

Yeah, you could tell a lot of effort went into the game, while it's very flawed, the devs didn't deserve that kind of treatment from EA. The game could have used a patch or two (balancing the pathetically easy difficulty, for one, even Hard mode is a joke, and some quests have major bugs), but there's pretty much no chance of that now.

Finally pulled the trigger on Okami HD last night - I couldn't resist at the discounted price.

For the record, I've owned the PS2 version since it was released and haven't gotten past the first few hours despite trying 2 or 3 times. This isn't a reflection on the game at all, I think it's fantastic. So much so, that I jumped on this art book when it was released:

Sadly, something newer has always come along to take my attention away from continuing playing it. My plan is to end this generation with this gem in glorious HD.

Right? I'm actually enjoying it like, more than I thought I would.

I almost bought a game instead of downloading it because I just spent 30 hours in Diablo 3 and wasn't keen on playing another action RPG right away. But Amalur is different enough and good enough to wash away the genre fatigue.

Yeah it is. I love love love that you can easily reset all your points and try different builds out. They're all surprisingly fun, though I'm partial to finesse/daggers.

Yeah same to both. I was gonna reply with more but decided to continue the discussion in the OT: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=86886007#post86886007

Well worth the PS+ investment, anyway.

I have a few questions about using U.S. PS+ cards on a Canadian PSN account, and would really appreciate anyone who can answer them.

If I purchase a U.S. PS+ card from Best Buy for $40, will it be usable on my Canadian PSN account?

If not, I can use my U.S. PSN account. But will games downloaded on my U.S. PSN account be playable on my Canadian PSN account?

I also wonder about the other PS+ features: can I back up my saves to the cloud on my Canadian PSN account too, or is the PS+ subscription tied to only my American account?

Thanks everyone!

1) No, only on a US account

2) Yes, they are playable on any account

3) No, those features are tied to your US account

Anyone know how often eu plus will get updated in future? Is it every 4 weeks (13 times a year) or does it sometimes go to 5 weeks? I don't have much time to play a.t.m so I'm trying to wait for the best time to resub for maximum value!

In the past it's always been the first Wednesday of the month (with the occasional exception), but recently it seems to be the last Wednesday of the month instead. This month is an odd one, as it's updating on the 23rd (when the 30th would be more like the normal update day). I assume it's early this month because of the PS4 launch and new IGC titles.

So we don't know exactly. The easiest way I guess is to wait until the day before a title you REALLY want leaves the collection.

I was thinking they were trying to line it up so all 3 updated at the same time but the 4 weeks thing is looking more plausible.

2nd Jan - 6th Feb 5 weeks
6th Feb - 6th Mar 4 weeks
6th Mar - 3rd Apr 4 weeks
3rd Apr - 1st May 4 weeks
1st May - 29th May 4 weeks
29th May - 3rd Jul 5 weeks
3rd Jul - 31st Jul 4 weeks
31st Jul - 28th Aug 4 weeks
28th Aug - 25th Sep 4 weeks
25th Sep - 23rd Oct 4 weeks

We've had enough consecutive 4 week content periods to put the November update over a week before the end of October.

PS Plus has become a little bit silly - can't criticise at all, but how the hell can anyone play and complete all of the games?

It's given me a chance to complete Demon's Souls, as well as play through Far Cry 3, which I dismissed initially, as I felt the game doesn't run well at all on the PS3, however once you get immersed, it's good, much like Skyrim.

Then there's Dragon's Dogma and the various PS Vita games.

Kudos to how Sony have turned it around from 2009 onwards.

if i manage to play through 5 games over the course of the year, i think PS plus has done its job.

and I get to try games I don't normally try too.

Indeed, it's a bit overwhelming. I'm not finishing a lot of the games really. I just see the service as a great way to experience (and replay, in some cases) games. I've given up on actually finishing most of them.

But as for MGR and Remember Me my aim will be to complete them. Or at least MGR...

First world problems.

I skip a lot of the games, but since I signed up in March I've downloaded and finished at least the main story path on:

Vanquish
Joe Danger 2
Darksiders
LBP Karting
Gravity Rush
VLR
Uncharted GA
Demon's Souls
RE Umberlla & Darkside Chronicles
Galaga Legions DX
Saints Row 3

Well you're not supposed to play them all. That's like wondering how you're supposed to watch everything on Netflix.

They're both pretty short. :p

Yup, I only play/finish what I like and have no PS+ backlog.

The only games that I haven't gotten to are the Vita ones (because I don't have a Vita).

What's the ETA on Vita PS+ annual games rotation ?
I can't remember when they launched it. Should be soon, no ?

Too many games to play to even notice tbh!

Another fantastic update and I will add them all to the download list, with the hope that one day I shall play them.

Now, back to Okami, Demon's Souls, Far Cry 3, Dragon's Dogma, Need for Speed etc etc

Just brought like 5/6 games today with at least 3 to 4 of them I wanted to actually play too...

That alone covers the cost of 1 year of PS plus...

I LOVE ps plus.

Nice, thanks you !
Can't wait.
My current top 4 contenders are Soul Sacrifice, Sly, PASBR and KZ:M, let's see how it will be :D .

I could definitely see Sly and PASBR, not sure about Soul Sacrifice since Delta is supposed to come out soon, and Killzone is too soon.

I think KZ will surprise many people. KZ:SF coming soon and is is PS4's best weapon, so it'd be a nice quick marketing burst.

EU Halloween Sale has also been updated with some titles.

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/10/23/new-deals-creep-into-the-playstation-store-horror-sale/

Seeing the US Sale annoucements a few days ago this is a complete joke. I get that EU gets the better free-Games Lineup and US gets the better Sales, but come on, this is ridiciulous.

I was hoping for a sale on 400 Days like the US, but I knew that would be a long shot. The EU team really needs to put more effort into getting better sales. Even when the same game goes on sale, the discount sometimes is way less (FoB for instance).

EU gets better free games, NA gets better sales. I suppose it evens out.
