But for the moment it's one guy's take on what he saw. I suppose we can judge for ourselves tomorrow. Would still prefer both sp and mp footage of both versions though - maybe some other outlet will have that.

I wonder if the SP looks worse because it's 720p compared to 900p, which is a noticeable difference or whether it will be more than that an include worse textures, effects etc.

That's pretty crazy, but how do you even compare them? It'll be different environments, different lighting conditions; maybe there are some sp levels that look worse than mp regardless of the platform.

Thuway semi-confirmed it. Although he said BF4 on PS4 was 900p last he heard, but that could change by launch as Dice are aiming for 1080p.
I'm thinking they'll push high settings at 900p myself.

To be fair he is a PC gamer (BG BF STREAMER), so he will pick up Resolution/textures far more than the layman, The Youtube quality should be enough to mask any real difference we can see from that.....shouldn't it??!!???

Still depends on what scenes he wants to compare. A technically worse scene can look better than the technically superior scene just by being more aesthetically pleasing and/or by giving the illusion of technological complexity.

He DOES have an idea. He has footage ready to be released. He just didn't outright say anything, but either way all signs point to the PS4 version being the superior one.

That's not at all how I read that. The person making the joke was the person who hadn't seen BF4. the person who responded and hinted that it was fact had seen it.
