I was thinking the same but it would put it too close to Dragon Age in the fall of 2014. I say closer to Christmas 2015.
That depresses me.
Are those the kind of wonky physics we can expect from the game too?

I hope they draw more inspiration from ME2 and focus less on the shooting elements.
Can't wait for the announcement trailer - never cared for all of the whining about the ending, this series is my favorite RPG series of all time. The art style, setting, music, characters, man, I can't wait to get into it all again, or just to even see what it looks like now.
It's a Human Adept from ME3 multiplayer. Rest of the pic looks like it's a bunch of MP pics on one screen as well, so that may be a good sign that multiplayer will be back again from day one, looks a lot like ME3 screens though.
Looking at other posts it looks like some people didn't play it much since it's a default character from the beginning of ME3 multiplayer.

Top left is the multiplayer lobby for ME3. Bottom left is when you go to the power screen. Top right is appearance screen and bottom right is the equipment screen to change ammo/gear/weapon bonus/armor bonus
It's not an Eclipse mercenary. It's either the Human Sentinel or Human Adept.

Im guessing will be seeing a teaser at VGA's just like with Mass Effect 3

The reason they are teasing today is because it's N7 day. VGA's seems like the safe bet, especially considering this is EA we're talking about.

I want to be excited, but ME3 was so bad it retroactively affected my enjoyment of the rest of the series.

I finally got around to playing Mass Effect 3 recently and I don't think I'll ever care about Mass Effect again. I don't think anything could get me excited about one of these games. Shame too, I loved the first 2 games.

Nirolak added it to the OP as he's editing it while I'm out of the house. I don't understand what you're trying to say. Yea it's most likely an ME3 screen. What do you think it's on the screen for? They're not playing ME3 matches in that office, they're developing the game, hence the caption of the image being "we're hard at work on the next game". Most likely using it as a base for the next multiplayer in the next game.

Really hope the next ME is like DA:Origins with the option to choose your race. Loved playing as the different races is ME3 multiplayer.

okay so after deep analysis of these images i have come to the conclusion that the game is set during the mass effect 3 war and follows a group of hardened wise cracking cerberus mercenaries with nothing to lose traversing the galaxy killing aliens so no alien squad members
