It doesn't make sense where they use it for Amy and Tails. I guess they want to protect their accessories. Tails protecting his shoes and Amy protecting her belt. lol
And Knuckles can't really pull off that look too well. He doesn't have a neck.

It's surprising because from a design perspective you would want everyone to focus on the main character. But if you showed this to someone new to Sonic, their eyes would be drawn to the red guy who's twice the size of everyone else.
They tried to balance the composition by placing Knuckles in the middle but it doesn't help.

Knuckles looks like something went wrong but everyone is too nice to say it sort of thing and Sonic's bandages wrapping his sneakers do not jive with me.

Knuckles looks like one of those guys at the gym who wear tight shorts just so you can see their enormous cock tucked along their inner thigh.
Bandages on the soles of the shoes has to be one of the most impractical things I've ever seen.
Because according to the official site, it "may contain content inappropriate for children" (no joke, scroll down), so she'll likely have HBO style casual nude scenes.
I mean they're both like 16, it's weird it hasn't happened already.

The CG quality of the characters looks really good for something that's going to be on Cartoon Network. The only character design that is bad is knuckles, other than that, if everyone just lost all the wrapping and sonic lost the scarf they wouldn't look too bad. Eggman looks great though.
