Pretty sure it's a re-release, like other posters have already said, but fuck me I love this game to bits (just look at my avatar ffs) and I'd gladly buy it again to support the series, hopefully (if it's a port) it has some new content/characters.

This is Atlus. You shouldn't really be afraid that it is a mobile game, you should be afraid that it is still on 3DS.

Well, if examined in context, the 3DS is getting a new Fire Emblem and Culdcept this year.
The more I think about it, the more it coming out for 3DS makes sense, especially given the huge Japanese user base. So yeah, I'm pulling for that, because its so much easier to play big RPGs like that on the go (and a new Radiant Historia for 3DS would be pretty damn cool).

I'd be fine with mobile. I'd prefer otherwise but I'd deal. As long as it's not a mobage, mobile's totally acceptable.
And I'm hoping it's not just a remake/port but if so I guess I'd have an easier way to get friends to play it, and it's been long enough that I could get into replaying too...

The first game was so so good I'm glad to see them revisit this! I felt like it needed a bit more improvements gameplay wise

Radiant Historia 2 would be on Switch, I'd think. But a remake could be on either. We'll know tomorrow.

I'm totally down with that, I always mean to finish the game but the loss of my 99% complete cartridge makes it hard for me to start it again...a remake would alleviate that problem entirely!

This will almost certainly be a remake, like the Devil Survivor and Etrian Odyssey games have been getting. I don't know how you can look at that tweet and think otherwise.
