Looks ok. Hopefully they improve AA for release indeed.
Nobody says you have to go back to the dream refuge to level up either. We still don't know how we upgrade our characters. You didn't have to go back to Firelink Shrine to level up.
Have the stats been discussed anywhere yet? No Agility, huh? Or is that 'skill'?
When you say "Nexus", do you actually mean a self-contained hub with portals (or similar) to various levels like in DeS, or just a hub-ish central area that is connected to the rest of the world, much like Firelink Shrine? The former would be terribly disappointing IMO. One of the best things about DkS is how everything is seamlessly connected (well, except for Anor Londo), it gives the world a strong sense of place that I think DeS lacks with its separate levels.
W... what? The games are linear. How the hell do you know where to go? That's the one thing that puts me off about it, and Dark Souls. What's the point?

Looks amazing, but I'm disappointed in the lack of AA and (from what I can see) how the world is traversed. I loved how you got around the world in Dark Souls, hated how you got around the world in Demons Souls.
It's more Nexus than Majula. The hub area is not connected to the rest of the world, as far as we can tell. However, "bonfire" placement seems to be more careful this time (there is only one in the 20 minutes of footage), and the world seems to be highly interconnected with multiple branching pathways often available.

From what I can tell, the dream refuge is a place that exists outside of the overworld. You can fast travel to activated bonfires and that's it.This sounds bad. :-( Have they really gone back to separate zones rather than a connected world? Hype massively diminished.

Should I watch or should I not watch? UGHHHHHHHHHH
''Skill'' seems like it might be the replacement for agility.

Naked next to a naked me. You forgot that one important detail!Clicked the link, then thought better of it and I closed the window immediately. I intend to enjoy this experience the way Jesus intended - naked, virginal and afraid. On the couch.
How about the concept of exploring like you did in Zelda 1? There were no waypoints.
Play the game until you find the right path you should take first. Eventually, it all interlinks and you know where to go. If all else fails, get help online.

Skill is clearly Dexterity
If you die tons of times, you're probably going the wrong way. Find a path where the enemies seem defeatable. How the hell do you know where to go? That's the one thing that puts me off about it, and Dark Souls. What's the point?

Yeah, it's definitely Dark Souls II. Which isn't exactly bad, but not what I was hoping for.
It's better than hub + archstones, at least (imo).

Thank you both, for a real response. I forgot some people can get very touchy with their Souls games.
It's better than DS2. This isn't a corridor game. I was legit lost when he was running around at times, and I played that alpha every day for the full amount of time, including the unfinished area.
