There is a chance Ill show up on Twin Peaks, he told TVLine Saturday at New York Comic-Con, where he was promoting X-Files January relaunch. Fearing the presumed wrath of franchise overlord David Lynch, who to date has only confirmed the return of Kyle MacLachlans Agent Cooper, Duchovny quickly added, Thats all I can say. Ive been frightened into silence.
Why is Coopdressed as Henry Hill from Goodfellas?
David Lynchs upcoming series has been pushed back to 2017, as Deadline points out. Of course, this was the original release plan for the series until Showtime President David Nevins recently said they had started production to try and hit a 2016 premiere. A new statement from Showtimes Q3 earnings call has confirmed that the network is sticking to the original plan to deliver more Twin Peaks in 2017.

David Lynch and Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost wrote the new set of episodes as one extended movie, which will be cut into episodes once they’ve reached the editing phase. Plans originally called for nine installments, but that number has since doubled to eighteen.
18 episodes.... All directed by Lynch. Get ready to smack your head against the wall after every episode.
Also, the number of episodes have been doubled from 9 to 18.

Deadline said:Another Twin Peaks fan favorite is heading back to David Lynchs upcoming new installment of his groundbreaking 1990 mystery for Showtime. No one is commenting but I have learned that Miguel Ferrer is set to reprise his role as FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield from the original series in the new season, set to debut in 2017. In eight episodes of the 1990 series, Ferrer played Rosenfield, a cynical city slicker FBI forensics specialist who butted heads with Twin Peaks Sheriff Harry S. Truman.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!!
Lynch is also trying to get Naomi Watts into the show as well. If anyone knows how to utilize her its Lynch, would be a fantastic get. Nothing she's done since Mulholland has come close imo, talk about an under-utilized talent.

Has there been any word on Heather Graham coming back?

...and today I bought the Mulholland Drive bluray.
Never seen it. I should remedy this swiftly.
It's incredible!
They're going to shoot all the scenes as one big movie, then chop it up into episodes, so the exact number will be determined during editing.
I'm sure. And it's weird because I'm a Lynch fan. Not sure why it hasn't happened yet. I've even seen that one movie he did with Cooper in it.
Uh...Blue Velvet? Not exactly obscure if that's the one you were referring to.
Don't get sentimental.Color me amazed.
^ It was probably Dune. Easy to confuse with Blue Velvet.

Heather Graham needs to come back. Naomi Watts would be so cool too.
