Hahahaa! Oh that Giant Saw Blade cabal strike footage! Holy SHT!
They shoulda had that in the fcking reveal lol.

Archaic doesn't necessarily mean bad.
yeah the enemies didn't even have new animations or anything
That was fucking cool. The boss fight at the end, too.Hahahaa! Oh that Giant Saw Blade cabal strike footage! Holy SHT!

We Counter-Strike now.
SnD wishes it was Counter-Strike.
Show some damn respect.
The guardians don't either. Same emotes, same melees.
This should have been an expansion, from what we've seen.
I'm honestly shocked. Still processing it. I really, really thought Bungie had learned.
Good luck getting this amount of content, changes and visual improvements in an expansion.

I like how "the animations are the same" is a more important aspect in a sequel to you than the actual content of the game.
Sure, they could have improved the animations. But for that to "shock" you when everything else we know makes it clear that this is a sequel? Silly.
So what's the script with the ability now?
We get:
- Melee
- Grenade
- Abilty
- Super
?
taken king basically had this
That's generally what is expected from "expansions." D1 just set the bar so low that many are desperate for whatever scrappy bone Bungie will throw to them.
I like what I'm seeing from some of the new social features and clan implementation—but that's shit that never should have been missing in the first place. You're not gonna win me over by showing me that 3 years later you finally figured out how to put the stuff everyone expected you to already have in your game.
Taken King had four new planets?
Weird, I thought it just had a single new play space called the Dreadnaught.

It does, I hope they keep all the cool environment stuff going on through the whole game like in this strike and the cool weather in the opening reveal footage.New strike looks really cool.
They're basically making the game Destiny should have been. I don't know why you're disappointed by that? I thought the point was to have a good time.
This looks like a good time, and we've only seen one strike, one story mission and one PVP map and mode.
Four new planets are basically just QoL improvements that should have been there in the first place!
After seeing some footage, I don't think that Destiny 2 lives up to the size of that 2.
Well, it does here.
Again, I'm not trying be an ass but I don't understand the point of your defense. There is no question that it would be terribly stupid if they lock out heroic difficulty.
We shouldn't still be "understanding" Bungie's stubbornness after all this time. They need to actually listen and not half-ass features.
Not that I saw, and not surprising. Looks like a LOT of reused assets, animations, etc. I see very little that indicates a new engine.
Right? Lol.Good luck getting this amount of content, changes and visual improvements in an expansion.
Right? Lol.
bungie should just make crucible pulse rifles only
much easier to balance.. MLG style
Pretty much very MMO expansion ever has met or exceeded what we've seen from D2.

What's worse is that they are also subtracting things as easy solutions to issues in Destiny. Crucible network is atrocious, go with dedicated serves? No, just make it 4v4 across the board.
Special weapons are too powerful in PVP, balance PVP and PVE separately to optimize both?
No, make shotguns and snipers "power" weapons so they can't be used as much.
People aren't doing raids because they can't find a group that fits for them, make an easier version for casuals to run through? No, make an obtuse in-game LFG where they are still at the mercy of being passed over.
I imagine that's all turned off for these preview buildsNot sure if this has been addressed but why don't we see loot drops in any videos? Nothing even in a full strike video...
Right? Lol.
I'm done reading this thread...some of you guys are ridiculous. I don't know what you expected, but you clearly had your expectations set WAAAAAY to high.
Saying this looks like an expansion is idiotic. You haven't seen any of the story content besides the first mission. If there is a 10+ hour campaign in here, plus all the new co-op/PvP, it's clearly not an expansion. Get over yourselves.
You haven't seen everything in D2 so I'm not sure how you can make that assessment yet.

Bungie originally planned ODST to be at a $20 price point, and I'd say the content is on par.Good luck getting this amount of content, changes and visual improvements in an expansion.
