Not as far as I could tell, but it's basically two boss fights and nothing else
I have pretty mixed feelings about this one, I kinda like the style of it but at the same time technically it could be better, and I kinda like the sounds and atmosphere but then you'll get the 'Pawns' spouting the same lines over and over (which I found repetitive even in such a short space of time)
The demo doesn't really explain stuff, I get that there's some focus on looting and gathering resources which was barely mentioned, and it looks like there's some sort of day/night cycle perhaps? As the sky grew to dusk during the Countryside Quest, but again there's nothing in there that expands upon it.
The issuing orders is fairly basic and it doesn't look like we can switch between characters on the fly? Or at least the demo indicates that isn't possible, which is a shame.
It's also very linear, but surely this kind of game has lots of non-linearity in it's structure? Maybe they should have added some sort of town or exploration section to give a better idea of what to expect.
The combat itself is fine, it's not really like D Souls, or Monster Hunter, or anything like that, it's a lot more straight forward. My main complaint was there was very little feedback to my hits, a common problem, but it seems to stand out moreso in this game. I found the rogue style class (with the bow and daggers) infinitely more fun than the generic swordman class in the Prologue Quest, the Countryside Quest was definitely the better of the two.
I'll probably just wait and see how it reviews before deciding to pick it up or not, so far it's a no
