Hideki Sasaki!
The MGS character Jonny Sasaki is named after him, iirc it was because he was always telling jokes or pulling pranks during development.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Good. They deserve to work with Kojima and not locked in Konami's bullshit cages.

Forsell :D Loved his score in MGS V.... very Sicario-esque (interestingly both composers are Scandinavian... maybe share some same dark, industrial influence).

Can someone explain why these people are in the credits for a Guerilla game?
If I had to make an educated guess, they must have helped collaborate with Guerilla make the engine a bit easier to use or provided some insight into what they want out of the engine or added features they liked from Fox Engine to this.

It's likely just feedback because both companies are using the engine, and KojiPro wanted to help make the engine better for "Death Stranding."

Koji pro is using the same engine as HZD which is the decima engine on their upcoming game Death Stranding.

Before the HZD got released they were working side by side to improve the engine.

The decima engine which both Horizon and Death Stranding use was worked on by both studios. They seem to have a really tight relationship and are helping each other build up the engine to be the best it can be. There was a thread about the full details of this collab, let me see if I can find it.

Edit: more info on DS and there relationship with GG can be found here http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1346760

So did Kojima straight up go around Konami's offices, using his binoculars to check the grades of various developers, and then Fulton the A+ staff back to Kojima Productions?

That's exactly what happened! Here's a pic of the op:

In the recent Hideo TV series, they talked about how KojiPro and Geurrilla colloborated on the engine once the Koji team got their hands on it. Some of that work clearly made its way into Horizon.

From Geurrilla handing over the engine on a stick with no strings attached to these Thank Yous, its clear the mutual respect is above ordinary. Really cool to see and bodes very well for Death Stranding.
