Why is Shadowrun listed as "action"?
Gonna spend more on Kickstarting than buying games this year
Aura Tactics looks pretty interesting

I certainly thought so. More tactics games certainly isn't a bad thing, and their demo is interesting. (I don't know If I'd call it good, but the ideas are sound.) It's also ending friday, so if you want to jump on it, now's the time.
A great majority of those only pledged so they could troll Bartlett (and boy howdy, are they). You cannot comment on the page unless you donate. They know full well that they are in no danger of actually having to pay anything.
The only reason I have not pledged a dollar is because I'm not that mean.

I was considering backing the Jane Jensen project until I read this on their kickstarter page: "Jane is known for games with complex, dark plotlines ala Dan Brown." Ah, well then, no thanks.
Jane is known for games with complex, dark plotlines. She created the Gabriel Knight adventure game series at Sierra On-Line and the recent Gray Matter.

Great thread! You should also leave a link for kickingitforward.org, since it is a good source to find game projects. There are already 32 projects listed there and it's growing rapidly.
You forgot Your World
You listed Takedown twice.

Our goal with Echoes of Eternia is to reignite the memories and nostalgia that Gamer's have toward retro games. We feel that lately, RPG Video Games have been forgotten and have been too westernized. RPG's have lost their appeal and their heritage. We are looking to change that. We want to prove that RPG's haven't been forgotten and still hold a special place in our memories.
We will accomplish this by making Echoes of Eternia as good as possible and spreading knowledge of it as far as we can. We truly want to revive this genre and show those who have forgotten just what they are missing. We want people to play Echoes of Eternia and for it to remind them of the Golden Days of gaming on the Super Nintendo.
Here's another little project about a pseudo-JRPG, SNES style:

It looks decent, maybe even promising to some extent, but geez, their "harangue" for the need of a game like this puts me off in so many ways...
College-Ruled Universe looks really pretty, but it's not going to make the deadline, damn.
Project lead claims it's his "first video game", scope claims "30+ hours of gameplay", no one listed as a programmer on their team so chances are it's just the head designer, currently in pre-production, "fully voice acted" on a $10,000 budget, "we are trying our hardest to get this game on XBLA" with no mentions of publishers and no one on the team having any experience working with publishers.
*rolleyes*
This is like, the perfect storm of scope creep insanity that wrecks most projects.
Plus they are determined to do all that while being the saviors of the genre, when what they are wanting to do is only contributing to the problem and not a remotely viable solution.
It's the same reason that I can't take the Class of Heroes project all that seriously.
I can't take Pinkerton Road seriously due to its scope, and how they are PRing Jensen(?). I can't take Your World seriously for obvious reasons, and I couldn't take Takedown seriously.
But you know what? That's sort of the beauty of Kickstarter; that longshots can put up a page asking for donations. That people can put their dreams up for crowd-vote.
What happens if they don't get funded? Do people get their money back?

Yogventures video is fucking brilliant.
May throw them a few bones even though I'd never play it.
I want to donate to The Dead Linger, but I am waiting for a future video that gives me a better idea of what they are trying to do.
EDIT: Actually, after reading their KS page more in-depth, it sounds like Yogsventures is trying to be serious instead of the metacommentary that I thought it was trying to be.
EDIT 2: Dead Linger is gonna be the next to get funded.
EDIT 3:

3,000 for PC and mac the other stuff down the line seem way too much.
Oh ok, that makes sense. I guess I'll support one if a JRPG for Vita shows up or something.
I kind of want to back the JRPG thing just to see how bad it'll end up being.
