Just finished episode 3. I have been really slow on this but at least it haven't been a drag to get through like S1 could be. A great improvement on last season and I can't wait to see more tomorrow. Very interesting to see where this dark matter and Whitney Frost plot is going.

Is the dark matter the same material we see in Agents of Shield? Or will I find out later in the season?

Finale was very, very poor. The whole way that final scheme was set up, the effects, everything. Felt generally unsatisfying.

Don't think this needs a Season 3 unless it's radically different. This season dragged considerably at times and kind of felt like they were making it up as they went along. Either way, I think I'm done with this show.

It's Darkforce- an extradimensional energy that bridges both the mystical and science-minded sides of the Marvel Universe. It's probably the tie-in to Doctor Strange that was teased at the start of the season.

For season 3, I think they should skip ahead five years. Have Howard, Peggy and Daniel setting up SHIELD, and the case of who shot Jack has gone cold, up until new clues in the case set up the next season's plot.

Argh. Inevitable, but still. ARGH. Who asked for Most Wanted? And SHIELD has been fine this season but it was never near as good as Carter. Sigh.

It's a shame that the show was canceled but it wasn't surprising at all. I just hope Jarvis and Peggy can somehow show up in something again, even if it's just some online stuff.

Carter news is sad, but not unexpected. Show was on borrowed time after S1. Feels like the AoS writing is on the wall after next season though. No bridge shows to fill the gap, still no real connection to the movies (there were at least some Hydra tie-ins to WS), Inhumans shelved as well.

Shit, just saw about the cancellation on Facebook.

I wish they'd at least give it like a special TV movie or something to finish off the story. It'll feel weird to have this loose end in the MCU.

Yeah, there was a little part of me that hoped the MCU brand would be enough to at least finish off the story part, whether it went to Netflix or Freeform. I guess not.

I've been pretty sour on the MCU the last few months, but this just puts a cloud on the brand for me.

Probably gonna get some heat for this, but my honest opinion was that S2's quality nosedived dramatically...easily the worst thing out of all the MCU product for me (I loved S1 though). Hopefully we see more of Edwin, he was one of my favourites characters in the whole of the universe (bit gutted he wasn't in civil war with teenage stark).

I'm hoping the pass on Most Wanted will allow Feige to bring Mockingbird into the film side (maybe ret-con some things so there's something between her and Hawkeye before he met his current wife etc.)

Overall though, I'm fine with cancelling Carter now; we have a beginning, the one-shot was already established as it's ending so we've already seen how SHIELD is formed. It's safe to assume that Souza turns out to be Peggy's husband that she mentions in Winter Soldier...

The only real threads are who killed Jack and whose side of the family Sharon comes from (I'd say Souza's considering Peggy's brother died).

Edit: btw did anyone ever think that Jack Thompson may be related to Flash?

Sharon's last name is Carter though, so her being from Souza's side of the family doesn't make sense.

Sharon is probably in her late 20s, putting her birthdate in the late '80s. At that point, Peggy was in her 60s.

So Sharon is not Peggy's niece, she would be her grandniece.

Although she still couldn't be descended from Peggy's children because that would make her a granddaughter, so yeah ... maybe Peggy's brother never died after all.

A little update on #SaveAgentCarter - Hayley Atwell was at Wizard World Sacramento this weekend and said that the producers and Marvel itself was actively shopping the show around. So hope stays alive! C'mon Netflix!

Quick question, since the show got cancelled, does it have a proper ending? Can I watch the two seasons and be satisfied? Or will I waste my time?

I like a somewhat complete story (for reference, firefly was good even if canceled after 1 season + the movie).
