Cerny has previously worked on Resistance, don't think he had any prior involvement with Socom. My money is on SOCOM or Resistance. Both would be huge.
Moore's Law is such a hack. For starters, they're using 14 Gbps chips, not 16 Gbps. What was his source, Foxy the cardboard box?
If PS5 had these amazing features, why were they not mentioned in Road to PS5 in detail? We know that is when Sony generally gets into the technical presentation of their new hardware, yet they did not mention these details. What would they gain by holding out on any of this if true? Could've saved themselves a ton of embarrassment in terms of perceived power disadvantages if this were true, and they got out clarifying/confirming it officially to steal Microsoft's thunder.
See how all of this falls apart when you break it down logically? I've heard the same RDNA3 rumors (ironically from RedTechGaming who's a more neutral/better tech channel, and at least he clarifies the reason he speaks mostly on PS5 stuff is because his contacts are PS guys, though he's heard of RDNA3 customizations for the Series systems too), but they are likely very small customizations in the grand scheme of things, otherwise we'd of heard more about them. The closest thing to an RDNA3 spec in PS5 we've actually heard a lot about are the GPU cache scrubbers, which we can assume will be in RDNA3 thanks to Sony introducing them in PS5's design.
Moore's doing nothing more here than cobbling out new clickbait rumors based on older rumors from oddball sources trying to drive traffic to his channel. It's a bit pathetic honestly.
Sounds like “power of the cell” shit. I don’t doubt it’s a impressive system but cmon ..."The polygonal rendering of the Geometry Engine will take about a year for third-party developers to master but that Sony's first-party developers have already mastered it"
I stopped reading here.
He never finished high school.Why?
Nah, just overall better developer studios with Sony at the moment, plus that Microsoft show didn’t show much gameplay, so it’s hard to gauge what truly next gen Xbox series X only games will look like.Idk about all this but what I do know is the gameplay tht was showed at Sony's presentation was infinitely better than the very little that was shown at Microsoft's and I don't think thts just due to Microsoft being held back by Xbox one. Ppl keep downplaying PS5's efficiency and modifications as if it doesn't matter, you shall see
Sure but thermals are proportional to power draw and the thing was PS5 design was supposed to be constant or deterministic power draw profiles capped by an assumed TDP vs cooling performance.PS5 clock speed is tied to power draw, not temps.
Actual TDP is unknown but every system is guaranteed to have some buffer zone. Upping the clocks/CU may just require a fan speed bump to compensate for the higher heat. A trade off of noise for performance.

First, I don't think the spec bumps are happening but...I wouldn't totally rule it out. It's entirely possible that Sony released the "lower" baseline specs back in March knowing full well that they were aiming higher. It always looks better to under-spec and over-deliver than vise versa. The biggest impact of any of those specs would be the memory bandwidth bump. I hope that one at least is true. The extra CUs and 100Mhz CPU increase would have minimal impact at best.
In terms of the mystery reboot, I believe that it will be one of the following (in order of probability):
1. Jak and Daxter - Cerny worked on the original for PS2 as well...and let's not forget the clue during the Road to PS5 when he referenced Jak II (seemed pretty random at the time huh?)
2. Socom - been rumored for a while. Now would be a good time. PS4 would have held back some of the ambition for a modern Socom
3. Siphon Filter - been rumored since the PS3 days. I think they are waiting for the right time and right hardware to deliver to true leap. When you think about, the stealth genre has virtually disappeared this past generation...hmmm
4. Twisted Metal - tried to bring it back on PS3 but it didn't do well. Still potential in this franchise and one of the PlayStation's biggest sellers back in the day. But they already have Destruction All Stars and this genre has been all but dead for a while now
Are sony not in need of shooters.
Maybe a new killzone.
No, Knack 3 incoming. LolIs Mark Cerny making us a Socom for PS5?
Are sony not in need of shooters.
Maybe a new killzone.
I would not mind a Jak game, that would be ace on next gen.Not with GG making HZD2, I would of guessed Resistance but thats Insomniac and they are making spiderman and Ratchet.
Must be something like Jak or even knack lol.
I'd like a Mag or Resistance to come back but no thy don't need one we've had tons of great third party fps games filling tht gap New COD, Doom, Metro plus ftp ones tht dominate like Apex and others.
What a pile of lies.
Nome of his claims have ANYTHING to do with the things he says he heared about the xbox event.
Now it is very easy to get the hype on ps5 after the xbox event but who tells us that guerrilla devs are now at home being thankful that they did not show any gameplay cause it happened like Halo infinite. Great in emgine trailer and disappointing during gameplay.
We have seen almost nothing on both consoles. Get ready for more disappointments
Sony hype isn't made off one presentation but off of decades of goty winners, contenders and awesome games. Last two months I just played tlou2 and Got and Sony keeps tht quality through generations. Idk what your referring to about Killzone but Killzone on PS4 looked like it's presentation. Campaign was meh but mp was great BTW. Barring gameplay in Halo the visuals looked dated and not next Gen when killzone released it looked next Gen by far.
Excuses for Halo are like the excuses as Crackdown 3 got closer. It went from omg you saw tht destruction shown on a high end pc to crickets when game released.
Actually RDNA 1 rumour had more with what happened on someone who works for Sony, but trying to bait fanboy war I see. It's neither. RDNA 1 was pushing pushed by religious Xbox fanatics, and RDNA 3 is being pushed by clickbait youtubers. It's RDNA 2, nothing more, nothing less.
The talk is about certain features that may be in the roadmap for RDNA 3, and that may not be as unlikely as you may think. The PS4 Pro got Vega features 1 year ahead.
Moore's Law Is Dead is a YouTuber who talks about video-game technology and purports to receive exclusive information about impending products from industry insiders. In his latest video, which is embedded below, he claims to have received a scoop about the PlayStation 5 and the most recent Xbox game show (July 23rd) months ago but has kept it to himself since then because it was initially unbelievable. He says that the reason that he is revealing it now is that it has recently been proven partially true; supposedly, the scoop revealed - months ago - that the most recent Xbox game show would announce Fable 4 and that it wouldn't reveal the price and release date of the Xbox Series X, both of which are accurate. Hence, he claims that the information in the scoop pertaining to the PlayStation 5 must be true; it is as follows:
1. The PlayStation 5's Geometry Engine will be included in the micro-architecture that will be RDNA3 and that it implements a variant of Variable Rate Shading that runs circles around the Xbox Series X. Its ability to draw polygons will be difficult for the Xbox Series X to compete with.
2. The polygonal rendering of the Geometry Engine will take about a year for third-party developers to master but that Sony's first-party developers have already mastered it, which is why Horizon Forbidden West will actually look as good during gameplay as it does in the in-engine trailer that was revealed during the PlayStation 5 game show last month.
3. The PlayStation 5's ray tracing capabilities are much more customized and subsequently better than they have been revealed to be.
4. The yields of the PlayStation 5's APU at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company have been better than expected, which has resulted in a sufficient percentage of them having 38 functional CUs on the GPU. Hence, Sony may bump up the official specs of the PlayStation 5 to include 38 active CUs on the GPU rather than the previously announced 36.
5. The PlayStation 5's memory chips may be upgraded from 16 gigabits per second to 18 gigabits per second.
6. The PlayStation 5's CPU frequency may be bumped up by 100Mhz.
7. Sony will be announcing God of War 2 (or 5, depending on how you look at it) in August via a very graphically impressive gameplay demonstration ("jaw dropping graphics that approach photo realism").
8. A reboot of a mystery franchise: "a mainstay of PlayStation, one that used to be a bigger, tent-pole franchise and Mark Cerny is working on it."
Fs it pains me when you come across so well thought out.
Destroys my plans of calling your a meat head with all those damn muscles.
Sigh.
That made me giggle lolFuck u bro ❤❤

I predict Twisted Metal reboot based on the life of Charles Manson, but with cars killing people instead of people killing people.
Made by Cerny, but the project was originally called Knack 3 before it got changed into Twisted Metal: Charles Manson.
If you think he’s telling the truth than Cerny would had undoubtedly talked about “RDNA3” features. I mean you can believe it if you want, but that doesn’t make it true. We've been hearing this for over a decade. Alot of variables but nahhhh I stand on what I'm saying. But I do agree Sony's first party devs are just better pound for pound overall.
This is not even hype, it is a false rumor.Sony hype isn't made off one presentation but off of decades of goty winners, contenders and awesome games. Why wouldn't ppl believe the Sony hype? They've earned it and consistently deliver, you can't act like Microsoft should get tht same benefit lol two totally diff situations. As Sony consumers they have nothing to worry about I can go in blind and know the next Naughty, Sucker Punch, Guerilla, etc will be eye candy ab
Nd good.
My bet is on Resistance or Spyro the Dragon, since Mark Cerny has worked on those franchises before.
Also, the whole "Sony might change the system to have 38 CUs and not 36" statement is such bullshit and Sony would in no ways do that after the consoles have already begun production, and since supposedly the PS4 backwards compatibility revolves around the 36CUs, I also don't think they would do that.
Sure but thermals are proportional to power draw and the thing was PS5 design was supposed to be constant or deterministic power draw profiles capped by an assumed TDP vs cooling performance.
The only leeway is the overhead you talk about but thats playing with fire in a design that isn't accounting for the ambient temperature of the console (they want a constant low audible fan speed) which is where I'd expect most of the overhead is relying on to work. You eat into the overhead and your eating into the ambient temperatures you can reliably run the console in without overtemping.
