Yeah, we also have Monster Land AC and Super Hang-On from that announcement as no shows yet. Nevermind the "summer" Game Gear titles on 3DS.Princess Skittles said:I'm starting to worry about Monster World IV.
Although technically the original press release said "Late 2011/Early 2012," but.. still..
No, it's free to watch and it's in 2D. It's buried under the Kirby category of the shop and you just stream it to the system.@MUWANdo said:So the cartoon's for sale, or is it free? Did they convert it to 3D?

That's what you get for reading the footnotes first *snickers*zigg said:I read this line first. GRR.
Do yourself a favour and forget about anything Nicalis is working on until it actually comes out. Really, the games they port shouldn't be announced when they are.Ranger X said:Anybody knows what's going on with La Mulana?
Sinthetic said:Not interested in Freaky Forms, too many games incoming.
OnPoint said:Would have been a pretty good summer drought game, really.
I'm still picking it up though.

What? No, GB Bionic Commando is an entirely new game, not a port at all. All new levels. And yes, it is much more sci-fi in theme. It also has password save, so you don't need to play it all at once like you do with the NES game, and does replace the topdown truck stages with sidescrolling ones that serve the same purpose (extra lives, pretty much).@MUWANdo said:It's relatively faithful to the NES game - most of the levels are the same, but they got rid of the overhead stages and replaced 'em with more sidescrolling sections. They also redid all the graphics in a more sci-fi anime style for no reason, which you may or may not appreciate. Same tunes, new arrangements. It's a much better handheld game than, say, most of the Mega Man GB games, or the Castlevania games, or whatever.
What else can you tell us and how long do you see yourself playing this game? Like fun for a week or something you'll go back to time and again?Nuclear Muffin said:Holy crap! Freakyforms is batshit insane! I love it!
It's polished to a shine, with some great production values. Controls are great fun! Customisation is easy and fun and the results are hilarious! (My Formee, Captain Fab, is a freak of nature with 3 eyes, a leg on its head and a voice that sounds like the gay pirate from Wind Waker - best of all, the default catchphrase for him was "I say!") Oh, and he shits out eggs while he walks along!
I haven't gotten very far, but it seems like there's lots to do, but even just making the formee and moving it round is a lot of fun! You can customise the landscape too (turning all trees into upside down ice cream cones is a cinch!)
Recommended!

Cool, I'm kinda tempted to get it today but then it would distract me from doing more productive stuff. Is the game beyond character creation all simple platforming or is there other stuff?Nuclear Muffin said:Well, I've not gotten that far, but I can see myself enjoying this for a good while. There seems to be quite a lot of unlockable items. I don't think it's the kind of game that you would just plow through, but rather play for a bit at a time (a bit like Picross really)

Cool, I think I'll eventually get the game but with Mario so close I can wait. Thanks for the impressions.Nuclear Muffin said:There's various challenges that you have to complete and different planets that you go to. I haven't done any of those yet, but I do know that there are flying and swimming sections (based on videos of the game), so it seems to be more than just basic platforming.
DarkWish said:Hey Nuclear Muffin, have you unlocked the ability to do StreetPass yet? I was trying to figure out how to unlock that, I must be missing something.
I just spent an inordinate amount of time on it. Pleasantly surprised.OnPoint said:Will snag Freakyforms later tonight. Looks awesomely weird.

Yeah, you can take photos, once you unlock the feature, and then view them in a photo album, export to SD, or choose some to share over StreetPass. You can also take AR photos with your creations (again, once you unlock the feature.)artwalknoon said:Does the game allow for taking in-game photos? It would be great to see how people are customizing their planets.
Cool thanks. I'm getting ready to buy this game so I have something to do between waiting for layers of paint to dry.BooJoh said:Yeah, you can take photos, once you unlock the feature, and then view them in a photo album, export to SD, or choose some to share over StreetPass. I like how he complains about the 150 second time limit (which I've just discovered is increased with your planet, my time limit is at 300 now) and then posts a screenshot showing 244 seconds on the clock.GameE said:
