That's why I mentioned that it would need to have amazing offensive stats/ability to be useful. Anyways, why are we talking like these typing are official?

Because it was a surprisingly neat feature that was removed for no reason. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but I can definitely see why people would want it back.
Also a bunch of new awesome movies that add a lot more depth to the game. Then their is just an increasingly responsive and lively world + story to play through. Interesting Type combinations has become more of a thing too.

I'm late to the party, but this is the first Pokemon game I've been legitimately excited for for quite a while. October can't come soon enough.
While I agree about Black and White, Zekrom and the Y legendary have that Left side-look, with the X-thing/Reshi look more "rounded".

There's a chance - since the glasses on the male NPC are modeled separately from the main character, you may be able to accessorize in various ways.
I don't know, many elements in the trailer suggest otherwise (mirrors, glasses being considered different models from the main character, etc).
