just read a local news story about a Trump supporter who spray painted a swastika on a Puerto Rican flag and when he got caught his response was "you know, I don't know why i did that, it was a spur of the moment thing, guess it was kind of dumb, but I can't believe people think I did it because I voted for trump what's wrong with you all?"

When do you guys think we should expect a Trump impeachment before? At this point, I think it's inevitable. It's only been a little over a month and everything is crumbling. All the insiders are suggesting that the topple isn't too far off with the evidence they have. There's absolutely no way he's going to last 4 years. The investigation stuff is gaining momentum very fast and it's apparent to anyone with a brain that Trump is working with Russia. The WH is leaking like crazy. Once they start to get more dirt on his cronies, they are going to out him at the drop of a hat.

I'm going to be optimistic and say that if he isn't out by the summer, he will definitely be out before the end of this year.

Just watched All The President's Men. Damn, how long has WaPo been saving all our asses?
My stepmother is in that movie for a couple of seconds. She and my father both worked at the Washington Post at that time.

I'm posting this without comment because it really doesn't have shit to do with anything right now. But god damn if this is true.
Tom Arnold is still teasing his tapes.

Steve Bannon is aggressively unintelligent and like a parody of a white supremacist.

I wonder if The Iron Dream by Norman Spinrad is big with the alt-right. It's a really good science-fiction satire. Maybe too good, because it's played totally straight and the satire might go over the reader's head.

On the surface, the novel presents an unexceptional pulp, post-apocalypse science fiction action tale entitled Lord of the Swastika. However, this is a pro-fascism narrative written by an alternate-history Adolf Hitler, who in this timeline emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1919 after the Great War, and used his modest artistic skills to become first a pulp–science fiction illustrator and later a successful science fiction writer, telling lurid, purple-prosed adventure stories under a thin science fiction-veneer.

It's Maggie Haberman at the NYT, so people's opinion of this may be skewed by her coverage of Hillary and the campaign... Still, interesting to read.

Trump is expecting two major policy rollouts this week - one on Obamacare and one on the new travel E.O. The Obamacare piece was not 1/

2/ even completed as of yesterday. While there was a West Wing-wide panic about potential stories re POTUS tearing into staff/question of...

3/ whether he told chief-of-staff not to travel w him, two major pieces of policy still required focus and work.

4/ when Priebus said he would remain behind yesterday at meeting where Trump fumed at McGahn, was after discussion of ACA still needing work

5/ there was an hours-long meeting about ACA w White House aides yesterday morning.

6/ meanwhile, Trump has repeatedly told people throughout today that he is convinced he's right re wiretaps, per 3 ppl w direct knowledge

That last one is the kicker... Obviously, the mainstream's criticism of the "mental health" aspect of Trump is bad all-round (stigmatizes MH and such), but it's hard not to think that he's drifting into paranoid delusions.

It also means he is just going to the Breitbart story and no other info.

It came from Breitbart though, why would he question what he reads there even for a second? (unless its critical of him in any way, then its garbage).

A viral moment on Hillary Clinton’s Boston-to-NYC flight
During last year’s presidential campaign, Pence lambasted Clinton, then the Democratic nominee for the White House, for her use of a private e-mail server during her time as secretary of state, an issue that dogged her throughout the election season.

So when Clinton was photographed aboard a Boston-to-New York flight considering a USA Today headline that read “Pence used personal email in office,” the online masses acted accordingly. Which is to say, they ate it up.

Both amusing and galling.

Wait, why are we Puerto Ricans being targeted? We're American citizens!!

Trump is asking Congress to "determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016," per @presssec statement

lol?

Edit: Posted that 15 minutes ago, and still don't quite know how to react to it. I mean... That takes some brass balls, surely?

Trump's going all in on the L, and probably wants to attempt to cast a shadow on Obama as he gears up his organizing efforts, and the base will eat it all up anyway.

Asking congress to investigate Obama is putting Congress in a lose-lose situation. Unlike the executive, they just can't just make up shit spur of the moment, and they can't simply give lip service, either.

The Russia story has been going on for almost a year, this latest obsession of Trump came totally out of the blue.

Spicey making it sound like they arent going to talk about this anymore (meaning they wont answer the press questions asking for evidence)

So the DNC will not be releasing the finally tally of the Chair vote, but will make it available "In the interest of transparency" to view behind closed doors by appointment/request.

In the interest of transparency, as well as in compliance with the DNC Rules regarding no secret ballots, we have consulted with the Chair and a tally sheet of how each member voted in contested elections will be made available to interested parties upon request. This sheet will list each member and how his or her votes were cast.

We realize that this may cause concern for some of you, but ultimately we felt it was important to make sure that we continue having the most open and transparent party election in party history.

Socialists deciding to go with "actually, discrimination against conservative Muslims in Saudi Arabia is fine because conservative Sunnis are naturally violent actually" is kind of the perfect end for the anti-NATO people.

They should really suck my dick instead of writing tho because they have no brain power or humanity or decency.

I've seen so many dipshit commies earnestly tweeting out that first responders in Syria are actually Al-Qaeda (a smear believed by only Russia) and really, these people should be punched in the dick until they can't breed.

Anti-NATO commies are bad people you should punch in the dick and punching them is as good as punching Nazis.

Um, dipshit (Tom Cotton obv), don't you think those off-the-cuff remarks or ramblings are even more telling of what a person is really thinking?

Hell I still see Republicans trot out the "HURR HURR OBAMA THINKS THERE ARE 57 STATES" line every now and then (based on a stuttered remark about having visited "forfty-seven states" in the 08 primary), and after how much shit they gave him for using a teleprompter.

Was that what that was? I thought it was that he'd visited 57 states plus territories for the primaries, counting places like DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.

Tom Cotton was out there defending Trump's interviews about Russia in early February and dodging all the questions about "would you be saying this if Hillary made that statement?"

Was no one paying attention when Stone admitting working with Assange back in October?

Most were not, which is why it was stupid of him to bring it back up when the Russia connections are getting more heated.

Yeah, the guy's own personal email account is much less a representation of who he is. Let's let the speech prepared by somebody other than himself show who you really are.

All this intrigue about whether the government had enough info to tap him and it was just a delusional idiot parroting fake news

Literally nothing about him seems to indicate him being a commie aside from commies apparently all believing in that link you posted? Hell, he even posted a link about how Trump's not-SOTU was "presidential but with a few rough patches" and mostly just posts links about national security. I guess he seems to like the YPG?

You can even find him posting about "LIBERALS LYING TO YOU IT'S NOT ACTUALLY A MUSLIM BAN"

Edit: though I'm sure someone posting links from a website called "The Buckley Club" is actually a communist lol
