Rock Band DLC Announcements

Rewrite

Not as deep as he thinks
I hope they at least make a free to play version on the next XBLA/PSN. They could still make bank if they release a vanilla barebone game, with legacy DLC support.

So 3-2-1 for new song counts in new weeks at this point?

edit: they mentioned there might be a pack coming, so I guess the next new week will be the final RB pack

Why the hell couldn't we get Queensryche a long time ago?! Sure, toss out a song right before the end... That should have been a pack with "Empire" and "Anybody Listening" a long time ago. Or a pack with some songs from Operation Mindcrime and then Empire as a full album.
Fuck that would have been awesome.

About to play Blitz for the first time with an Internet connection (figure I should try it out online before leaving in a couple days to go back to "middle-of-nowhere, terrible-Internet-land" Greenland) and am finding a lot of songs I want. Even found a couple on RBN (Eiffle 65's "Move Your Body" and two or three others).

The last pack will either be an entire Zeppelin album or an announcement for a way to import The Beatles Rock Band songs.

It's nice to dream.

So, it's the 27th and obviously Glory of Love is still unavailable. I'm so fucking pissed. The one song I wanted to get into this game before the end and Sony has to screw it up. Who do I scream at?

Also, I don't suppose it wouldn't work if I grab the song through the US account? Not compatible with PAL Rock Band 3, right?

I know that a Beatles import is something that a lot of people want and I certainly hope you guys who want it get it, but that seems like it would be pretty weak to go out on.

We will finally get the Metallica pack, and maybe Van Halen for good measure.

But I would rather have Beatles. :)

Update on the Cetera PS3 scenario- apparently it's Sony's doing, Harmonix didn't knowingly request or induce it. Will be cleared up with this next release.

Toto bought! Shame it's not Hold the Line though, I'd love to do that piano intro. Rosanna is hellishly difficult by the way, not at all indicative of a 4 star song on Expert. That final solo is crazy.

At least they're going out with a bang.

A bang would mean at least 5 Toto songs.

Because this....
• All-American Rejects – “Kids in the Street” O
• Blink-182 – “Always” O
• Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Give It Away” O X

Im pretty sure have all been released in music games.

And the last two weeks were supposedly leaked- crappy mainstream rock pack, then highly appropriate final song. No surprises there.

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
I checked the last two weeks.

No idea who Chevelle is, and I called American Pie being the finale. Another day the music died.

The final song, it was never going to be anything else (maybe
Closing Time
). I don't know why people were acting like it was gonna be something incredible. (Not that I don't like the song and I'm totally buying it once it drops.)

As for the pack band, they're one of those chronic mainstream butt-rock presences that the RB community never asks for, but who a ton of people that don't participate but still play will gobble up.
