I'm sure it has the fast wireless charging. Although the chargers themselves are super expensive.

Don't know what fast wireless chargers are running, but my normal wireless charger I use on my S6 edge was only 15 (Aukey brand).

While it's slow if you need a lot of juice in a short time, it's useful at a desk at work where I can simply set it down when I'm not using it, pick it up when I need to, then set it back down. It never needs to charge fast because it stays topped up by sitting on there. Its also nice on a nightstand.

Thanks to wireless charging, I hardly ever have to plug in a cable to my phone.

Does the phone have native wireless charge thing?

Just curious. I'm glad it didn't go to USB-C for the sake of being trendy. I'll probably get a nice matte case for grip.

Placed the order today.

Buddy at work pre-ordrerd this and was giving me the hard sell today, tempted to jump back to the Android ship. With Apple music being on Android, iMessage is just about the only thing holding me back...

Coming from a Galaxy S5 that has had it's fair share of issues, I'm looking forward to a S7 as a good step.

Remember friends, never upgrade one generation to the next....always wait at least 2 generations.

I'm still rocking the original HTC M7 One. Just preordered the s7 today.
First new phone in 4 years. Am I gonna get my mind blown?

I went with a HTC M8 One and it was probably my least favorite phone of all time. I thought the camera was supposed to be top at the time and it has always been horrible unless its outside in broad daylight. After 1.5 years I have to make sure I dont let the battery die or it goes into a endless reboot. This problem is all over youtube. I found a solution by putting it in my freezer and then restarting it. 1 out of 5 times it gets out of the endless rebooting.

I'm ready and in need of a new phone. Seems like most have liked the previous galaxy phones. I really want a phone that can take some pretty epic photos, play music and do the full 360 panoramas. Is this a phone worth going for or wait for a phone that will have a better camera. I'm not a apple person, but iphones always seem to have the best cameras. Is this Galaxy right up there with Iphones camera?

The Galaxy S7 will have the best mobile phone camera until March 2017 when the Galaxy S8 is released.

That's super storage, I've had a HTC one M8 for 2 years now and it still works like it just came out of the box. Easily my favourite phone I've had.

Trying to order the S7 Edge from Telstra. pre orders were supposed to start 10mins ago and not on the site.

Fucking Australian telcos

EDIT: 45 mins later finally got the pre-order complete.

I've been using the s7 edge since Monday now. Really liking it so far.

I do store visits for Samsung though. It's a training sample.

Bah. I know tmobile sent out the 6s to people weeks in advance of the launch date. Was hoping this 7 edge would be on its way.

It has everything I personally wanted from the S6. I use a Note 4 myself and prefer this phone over it. I also prefer it over the S6 edge+ which I also used for a few months.

It's easier to handle. Battery is great. Better camera and it takes my 128gb sd card. Plus I already dropped it in a puddle and it's still alive :-D.

It rebooted once but I doubt this is final software.

It also packs some power and is really snappy. I got a 129945 score on antutu with it.

Edit: It's also pretty crazy how light sensitive this camera is. It sees more than my eyes do. Still seeing a blue sky at dusk while my eyes don't see any blue in it anymore.

Just preordered white S7 and am waiting for Case Mate Tough case to go on sale.

I had S3 with Tough case up until now. I can't wait for the world of difference.

Ordering these items:

64GB Memory Card
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012DTJ8NU/?tag=neogaf0e-20
The one in the best buy deal only has a write speed of 20MB/s. This card is closer to 87MB/s

Spigen Case
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A7IDQV4/?tag=neogaf0e-20
Used the same case for my s6, no issues. Works with my wireless charger and I can see the silver back color of the edge.

Screen Protector
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BG2B8I8/?tag=neogaf0e-20
Not really familiar with this brand, but worth a shot. I had no screen protector on my s6 and should have.

26800 mAh powerbank quick charge
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016HNALOI/?tag=neogaf0e-20
Probably overkill, but i'll never have to find an outlet again. I carry a backpack on me wherever I go so size isn't really an issue.

Can you install software/apps to the SD card? Not sure if 32gb is enough since I have a lot of gear VR games on my s6 edge plus 64gb

Skel1ingt0n

I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
Any battery stamina tests yet?

Assuming the processor is equally - if not more - effiecient than the outgoing S6, shouldn't the MASSIVE battery in the S7E result in phenomenal battery life?

The phone is still running android, so........

No, because Samsung is stupid.

Very interested in spending the next 6 months using this phone until the iPhone 7 release. Hard to leave the Apple ecosystem but it's hard to not feel like there are some really interesting things going on with Samsung Phones. That LG G5 is also dope as fuck but I'm not putting hopes that the modular concept will take off.

so I finally preordered my phone. I hope it was done right lol... The guy was brand new and I was his first phone sale so he was way more excited about the process than I was and he was super giddy at the end.

I went with this memory card. Seemed the best price to performance ratio.

No, because Samsung is stupid.

That is 100% the reason I will not be upgrading from my S5. It's by no means an incredible phone but it's doing the job for me just fine right now. If they aren't going to use the Adoptive Memory in 6.0 I guess I'll just have to wait until the S8.

TBH I have an HTC M9 running 6.0 and it has adoptable storage, but I wouldn't even consider it. I don't need shit being bogged down especially my apps and I don't have more than 15gb of apps anyway. I understand some people would like the option, but oh well. I think the point is people would get confused on what it actually does and might pull out their card and all their data gets corrupted or deleted. Yes people are that stupid even if they were told ahead of time how it works. Some idiot will still do it and complain that it's Samsung's fault.

Adoptable storage isn't necessarily a good thing. Samsung's making the right decision IMHO.

So for the folks that have the S6 Edge, do the Edge functions still work if you're using a non-touchwiz launcher?

Is the back of that case slick or matte? There is a $3 Ringke case on slick deals for $3. I got that as a reserve one.

I want a waterproof phone for a big trip I'm taking. What's your point?

You're buying a phone for one trip you're taking? Seems extreme but whatever.

My point is that you constantly complain about Samsung phones while being first in line to buy one. Doesn't make sense.
