I like it the best when they use white backgrounds for their white text interface.
No idea. They stated they were aware of the problem and it still took them a while to fix, and the fix was a work around so the problem was probably something big. Maybe a store bug or a memory problem. And why were there invisible tiles?
Anyway let's hope this sorts out the category and tech issues.
VG247 has some additional details.

VG247 will have an in-depth look at its features and a more extensive discussion with both Dumville and Gordon Thornton, VP of network operations, in the coming days.
Do you have a Wii and a 360?
So you were not on PSN in the early days, eh?
I stopped using search a long time ago. I found it easier to just go All Titles>Letter>Game and look through there. A lot less frustrating that way.yep, i always own every single hw, and while i agree wii and 360 are both bad i find the sony store to be the most confusing: the interface is way too convoluted.
even the search function was dumb: if i'm looking for MTG expansions why don't they list them in order of release? why there are several "products" for the complete version of a demo i'm trying? they should cleanup that mess, just have one product with the following links:
buy
demo
upgrade from demo.
there's no need for each option to be a different product, it just makes the search result full of useless crap.
nintendo and microsoft are both guilty for doing some of this crap as well, but i find their GUI less painful to use.
no XD i bought the ps3 2.5 years ago
It's close to what I suggested a while back, a page for each game, where it groups together everything related to that game.
Definitely gets a thumbs up from me.
looks good! can't wait to try this out.
the current store is among the worst e-commerce i've ever used (user experience-wise)
The pages themselves scroll from left to right, on what Sony describes as a carousel set-up, which puts more of the store’s content within easy reach as the user moves through scrolling pages.
It’s from a functional perspective that the store will undergo its biggest changes. The search function is now smart, so provides a reductive list of options as each letter of the search phrase is typed. Abbreviations and mis-spellings will also be covered, allowing users to search for MW3 or Mas Efect.
Search performance will be further refined over the coming months, “What will be refreshing to customers is that this will represent a new agile programme that will enable us to add new content every month or so, rather than dumping the new content and saying we’re done,” explained PS Store product development manager, Elliot Dumville.
Filtering has also been improved, filtering is now possible by content type, but also by price and even by peripheral support.
http://www.vg247.com/2012/10/11/sony-unveils-redesigned-ps-store-live-from-october-17/In a guided tour of the store, Dumville showed-off grouped content, which brings together all content for any given title in one place, with links to demos, full games, DLC and themes. Searching for Black Ops, for example, shows related screen shots, links to a demo and provides recommendations for other Call of Duty content.
Maybe SCEE has been keeping all these game from us to push them out for the store relaunch

Sounds like there's a bunch of back end improvements to match, I'm loving it.
Yeah, I hate that shit with a passion.I can't trust them to make it good. These are the same people that have had this for the past three weeks on multiple pages:
Oh, that's good stuff.
It's not. It might not happen as often, but the EU store definitely has its seasonal/promotional moments on complete unreadability.lol yeah this is ridiculous. But it's merely a US store thing.
Will the Vita store get an update as well?
The PS Store has certainly come a long way:
I dont even remember that haha. The PS Store has certainly come a long way:
Pic
People (including myself) are so burnt and now sceptic about SCEE that we actually think that this new UI won't be for us in the EU.
Now that's a major fuck-up SCEE.
